OMG, he's saying everything I'm thinking!!! yea this team is garbage and has been garbage for since 5 games into last season. And Trae is still a joke without the ball and THAT has a MAJOR impact on the team whether people here want to admit it or not. No one likes watching the so called leader of the team just stand around anytime he doesn't have the ball. It's disheartening and kills the locker room.

Unfortunately this is starting to remind me of my 10 years being a diehard Detroit Lions fan. Started the day they drafted Barry Sanders and ended the day he retired. Those were the most frustrating 10 years of sports fandom I've experienced. We're 5 years into Trae's tenure and I notice a lot of similarities between Lions and Hawks in terms of the ineptness of the front office, coaching and most of the players. Lions did nothing in 10 years to help Barry and so far Atlanta has done nothing to help Trae.

love it! You are correct in that hockey is much better in person than on TV. It's like the anti-football in that regard. But, as a lifelong player and fan I still get into the TV version quite a bit. And seeing a phenom like Bedard play has made it a lot of fun this year even if the team is god awful terrible. The other night they got beat pretty bad, but Bedard had an absolutely jaw dropping goal that made it all worthwhile. Going in person Sunday to see him play for the 3rd time this season. He's scored in every game I've been to and the team is 2-0. We'll see how long I can keep that streak going. Also got tickets for a couple games in January.

We are all way too important to waste another second of our lives watching this garbage unfold in front of us. Need something else to do with your time? I suggest college basketball or join me in following the OKC Thunder which is an actual team with a present AND a future. Or you can go really crazy and join me in watching Connor Bedard play his rookie season with the Chicago Blackhawks. Also tons of great streaming options on Apple+, Netflix, Hulu and a couple thing worth watching on Amazon and Disney. Let's go, time to send a message to this garbage franchise. Honestly you people should've thought of this a long time ago given how this franchise is basically the walking laughing stock of the NBA for decades. No reason to just sit there and take that. The Atlanta Hawks ain't General Sherman. They can't just roll through town. Screw em, close the shades and lock the doors, nothing to see here.

so you think the answer to Trae not getting the refs respect is to continue crying to the refs like a 5 year having a temper tantrum at a department store? You think that will make it better for Trae? Here's a novel idea, maybe Trae should take the high road and STOP COMPLAINING to the refs. Crazy thing will happen, he'll start to get more respect from the refs and more calls.

saw Jokic complain to last night simply by looking at him disapprovingly for about half a second on his way back down the court to play defense. That's how you do it. I'm sure that ref gave Jokic the benefit of the doubt next time there was a close call. 25 years old and Trae is still acting like a little entitled brat on the court.

If the answer is "play Bruno Fernando" i would assume the question is "what's the best way for the Hawks to tank?"

no idea, but definitely not Siakam. I'm sure next year they'll be a new batch of disgruntled stars looking for new addresses. Happens every off season. Time for us to now get prepared for that.

like I said, it's a hail mary. I give it about a 10% chance of short term success, but also a 80% chance of the team being better in the very long term if they clean house right now. Maybe they won't sign a FA, but they'll have money and better draft picks to work with and less anchors holding down the team.

I disagree. I think there is another option, but it's quite severe. Trade players like Hunter, Capela, OO, Bey, DJM for draft picks and expiring contracts. Use that money to sign a big time FA. Start over with Trae/JJ/Free Agent star...maybe DJM as well.

During Trae's rookie year I used to only watch the minutes he played and then I would fast forward through the rest of the game. that stopped the next year when we got Hunter/Cam and I wanted to see all the young guys. Next year same thing with OO and then JJ and AJ. Last few games I've gone back to the practice of fast forwarding whenever Trae isn't on the floor. Couldn't care less about watching any of the above listed players other than JJ and he's out. The rest of thsoe guys are all bums. This team has become completely unenjoyable to watch. The other day I skipped a Hawks game entirely to watch OKC play instead. Much more enjoyable team.

he's wrong. It was a good no call by the ref. Trae barely got touched and then acted like he got blocked by Michael Oher. If he didn't act like that he wouldn't have been so off balance when attempting the last shot. Stupid play by Trae and the result is what was earned.
