Sorry about your family members. That sucks. I personally haven't had a family member die from it yet, but did have several get the virus including my elderly parents who were unvaccinated at the time. I do have a couple clients who lost several family members to Covid in the early days. One client lost 2 sisters and her mom in one week. That doesn't change my stance though for where we are now. The very rare death for a vaccinated person coupled with a few people having lingering effects from the virus are not enough to continue to shut down society IMO.

I actually represented his brother in a personal injury motorcycle crash case many moons ago. Actually my dad represented him as i was a lowly law clerk back then. But I do have a very weird Scottie story. Growing up I knew where all the Bulls players lived since they all lived in my hometown or the town next to me. Every once in a while me and my buddies would drive by their houses. One night we drove by Scottie's house and noticed his garbage was out. On top of the garbage was a Nike shoe box. Could I really be that lucky? Was there a pair of Scottie Pippen game worn shoes in there? So of course I got out of the car and dumpster dove into Scottie's trash. Unfortunately the box was empty but it still held the tissue paper from the shoes. So I did what any reasonable person would do in that situation...i took the empty box home and for the next decade used it to keep my basketball shoes in there when I wasn't playing. I figured some of Scottie would rub off on them and make me a better player. So long story short, yes I am basically Scottie Pippen on the basketball court.

100% Trae’s fault. As he was running with Jokic he should’ve looked ahead and noticed that he was heading towards Monte Morris being loosely watched by Gallo who was in the lane. Trae should’ve signaled ahead to Gallo to switch and then he should’ve busted his ass to get to Morris in the corner. There isn’t a bigger Trae Stan in the world than me (not an exaggeration) , but there’s no denying what I saw. At the end of the day I put a large portion of the blame for the defense on him. Teams mimic their best players. I grew up with MJ and the Bulls where we had a team where the two best players were also dogs on defense. Led to the other 13 players trying harder than they ever have on the defensive side. We have a team where our best player is our worst defender. That can still work, but he has to at least put the effort in to at least not give up completely uncontested buckets. He can still be a defensive captain and call out assignments or at least use that same basketball IQ he that helps him excel on the offensive end to become more proficient defensively. That play I just described is a great example of a simple read that Trae should’ve made before he crossed half court and instead he didn’t make it at all. Pathetic. edit: all that said, Gallo could’ve made the same read just as easily and called for a switch, but didn’t.
