  1. I want to see Teague be very aggressive. There is no reason he doesn't abuse Nash,Blake and Meeks.
  2. I heard that about his attitude but I think as he gets older that will not be something of concern and I really don't see him acting like a prima donna with NBA players around him and knowing that the team isn't about him. Wasn't attitude an issue with Rubio as well? Being that were the hawks I'm sure we will get screwed come draft time as usual but with us needing a SG he looks like the best bet.
  3. They drafted a guy who people thought was average and is playing like a superstar. I don't think Carter-Williams will end the season scoring 20 but the assists, rebounding and defense is for real. I watched Syracuse a few times and he was easily the best player on the floor every time he played. Now he's a 6'6 PG in the NBA where he can dominate the small guys. He's always been a streaky shooter so he will have some games where he scores 5-7 points but the guy is the real deal.
  4. I thought you were gonna say something smart like rebounding....
  5. Turner is a very good player and someone I would love to have. He's going to get paid as I see him having a big season with Philly since they have no one that can score. He's also gotten better every year he's been in the league and I would love to sign him. He's a guy that will average 17/5/5 easy and move Korver to the bench where he's much more valuable. Evan Turner would be a very good player to have and still has some up side.
  6. Like most said with Ross or Derozan. We desperately need some size at the 2 guard and those guys would help. Either one would be a solid pick up.
  7. I was looking at this kid's tape and out side of Wiggins,Parker,Smart and Randle this would be the guy I'd want the most. His offense is amazing at a young age. Obviously, there is still some concerns for him like weight/defense,etc. I'd be willing to bet he's on Ferry's radar with him being Euro so he's definitely someone I could see Ferry targeting and going after. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su6TAa55N94
  8. In a perfect world I'd love to keep Horford but the problem is Hordford is not a no.1 option. In the NBA today you need that guy who can dominate night in and night out. There are just way too many holes on this team that we may just have to blow up the roster and Horford has the most value. Horford is a good player but how do we get a stud? Look at what Minnesota is doing. They have a team that is going to make the play-offs and be a force very soon. Why have a team who is only going to be a 6-8 seed and get knocked out in the first round and draft at 15-17 in the draft and just repeat process? Might as well get a ton of draft picks and have a team that's bad enough to get in the top 3. I mean what are we supposed to do? We don't have the assets to trade for a young star. Look how Houston had a terrible team, trade for Harden(which OKC GM was a idiot) and in a year they sign Howard and have a top team in the NBA that quick. Ok, so we keep Horford. How are we going to make this team better? How do we add top players?
  9. Oh I agree. I definitely want a top 3 pick in this years draft. That being said I see no reason we shouldn't trade Horford to the highest bidder before the dead line this year. We've seen enough of Horford to know he's a solid player but he's not a guy that will carry a team.
  10. We need Demarcus Cousins. If you really want to go after a player we need a stud and Cousins is that guy. Then again the Lakers will some how trade for him and give up nothing.
  11. Al has to step it up. He's a good player but this is now his team and he didn't show it tonight. The defense will be bad and I'm sure we will get out rebounded quite a bit due to our lack of size but overall not as bad as I expected. Really surprised by cartier Martin as he played a great game and I watching Dennis will be fun to see how he progresses. I think Ferry got us a steal and a PG us Hawks fans have been crying about not having for years. We won't be contenders but we have some nice young players and I like where the direction of the team is headed.
  12. I think this shows that no one really wants to be a Hawk. DF is a joke and is no different from all the shitty GM's we've had since bab's.
  13. Dwight is not going to GS. We have a much better chance than GS even though they have Steph Curry.
  14. Can't agree more. At first I wasn't even going to read it because it said B/R but that summary is 100% correct.
  15. You guys are crazy if you think Dwight,Josh and Horford+ a bunch of crap is a championship team. Josh Smith is terrible. I'm all for Dwight but if it means overpaying for Josh Smith then just rebuild. I loved Josh and his crazy athleticism when he first got in the league but he is a complete idiot. If he hasn't learned by now that he should not be shooting 3's and countless outside jumpers than he never will. Also, he is the type of player that will decline extremely fast. Once his elite athletic ability dwindles(it already is) then he really doesn't have any other skills that will make him an adequate player. Now if Dwight wants to be the man in Atlanta without Josh then let's do it. I know Lamarcus Aldridge wants out of Portland why not see if we can trade Horford for him and pull Dwight(of course that's a huge IF on Howard signing with us). Howard can still be "the guy" while having a legit all-star playing beside him.
  16. Why not go after a guy like Tyreke Evans? I don't believe he was used properly in Sacramento and he has plenty of upside still. I think Tyreke is a 20/5/5 guy and I mean we could try to tank and hope for the #1 pick but let's be real. Were the hawks and you know we would get screwed in the lottery and end up with the 5th or 6th overall pick as usual.
  17. Bottom line is Smoove thinks he is a superstar and can shoot jumpers as good as Kobe. Problem is he's just a viable #3 option and that's all. It's really time to part ways with Smoove. I wish we could just trade him straight up fro Al Jefferson but I doubt Josh gets traded.
  18. Other than Zaza no one showed me any hustle. All I saw were guys just wanting to get their shot off and not play any defense. I'm going to be honest I turned it after the first half. It was just a horrible showing and it's going to be a long season for this team I believe. As I said outside of Zaza these guys are soft which is why I was shocked not to see Ivan out there. I was waiting to see Ivan come off the bench due to us just getting bullied on the boards and it never happened.I will give Houston their props though. They absolutely got a steal for Harden and Lin. I (like the crowd) thought Lin was overrated last year because he played in NY but he's not. Very smart player who is pass first and can get to the rim. He also carries that chip on his shoulder like he has something to prove every night and seems to be in the right place at all times. Harden is what I thought he was coming out of ASU and that's a complete ball player. Seriously though the Rockets GM is looking like a genius. Paying Lin only 8 mil. and getting Harden for 5/80 seems like highway robbery to me.I'm still in question about Danny Ferry at GM. His draft record is Pete Babcock-ish and while I know his plan was to get expiring contracts but this team just has no size what so ever. It's going to be painful to watch and I honestly believe the best we can hope for is some high draft picks.
  19. Omer Asik had 19 rebounds. Enough said.
  20. The T-Wolves have a good team they just lack any kind of depth. If they can keep Love and Rubio together for a long time they will return to the play-offs in 2-3 years.
  21. Not only does he bring hustle to our team but he actually has some talent unlike guys like Mo Evans, Mario West and other NBA fodder we have had in the past.
  22. It really is time to get rid of Smoove. That 3 PT shot he took at the end of the game was just typical. If not for Ivan cleaning up Smooves mess we go to OT. Smoove wants to be a star and he is not and will never learn to play inside his limits. It is just so frustrating to watch him and he never gets better he just stays the same year in and year out.
  23. My bad just googled Lo I had no idea.
  24. I don't know how we can get rid of him, he has to have one of the worst contracts in the NBA.
