Someone posted that he has low BBall IQ, but I disagree because his IQ is part of what makes him one of the most versatile players in the NBA....BUT... He just does not show intensity and killer instinct most of the time....Like we just saw with Kobe and even Brandon Roy (who a lot of people have compared to Joe) both have the fire and a will to not let their team lose without giving every ounce of their heart, skill, and ability....Joe tends to lay back at times and even when he does get aggressive he still does not appear to fight with "everything" when the team needs him to be a superstar.... That little extra fight, that will, that high intensity separates the stars from superstars in the pros (and in life)...Joe has to find that or settle with simply being a star with potential to be a superstar but never taking that extra step...That's Joe!

FUNNY THING ABOUT the Hawks' February schedule is that we can go into March 10+ games above .500 or right near .500 by the end of the month. We have 11 February games (8 road / 3 home). Only 3 teams (LAL, POR, DEN) have better records than us. Utah (in Utah) and DET (in DET) maybe the "month swingers" games, because they should be winnable for us with a healthy Horford and better starts to games, but they are also quite losable with how ATL has been playing lately. Hawks beat a healthy DET at Phillips last month, but the Hawks are very different on the road. Utah will probably still be without AK but I'm not sure about Boozer. No Boozer, No AK, should give us a win, but you never know if the Hawks will take an easy win or play around with it and lose. On the HIGH end: Hawks will go 8-3 (Losing to LAL, DEN, and POR) ending Feb @ 35-23 On the LOW end: Hawks will go 3-8 (Beating LAC, WAS, and SAC) ending Feb @ 31-27

I love the Bud commercial with the guy thrown out the room too, the movie trailers, also the one with the Koala bear with glasses getting punched, but the best one of them all (hands down) was..... The Miler High Life commercial that was only 1 sec long....The guy popped up on the screen (hands in the air) and yelled, " High Life!!!" and that was it....That was so funny! You had to see the commercial campaign leading up to the Super Bowl with that guy talking about how expensive it is to advertise in the Super Bowl and then goes on to say that all Miller High Life would need is 1 sec to advertise their brand. Then to actually do that was funny as hell. Oh My Goodness! That was hilarious! A Classic. :laughing5:

Maybe now he'll have something to feel good about and get his shot going again. We need a big game from Joe in the worse way these days. And we damnsho need to knock da the NJ Nets outta the building tomorrow night!!!

I just don't know if Bibby's enough to put over the top...He's been great and I would love to see us get Bibby for 3-4 more years, if we can resign him cheap (around $7-9MIL per)....Is that gonna be possible? Hate me for saying it and I know we're been through this 100s of times, but Bibby -for- Iverson just keeps blasting out at me as a deal that would do wonders for both teams? Bibby is about 3 years younger but health/durability-wise they're about at the same point in their career with probably 3-4 strong years left, then maybe 1-2 more sub par years of backup PG/passing the torch/mentoring Law (if we keep Law)...Which PG/SG (which they both are) would impact the Hawks more in the next 5 years? WHY Do It? ATLANTA would get a deadly scorer that penetrates the paint an has a killer instinct to take over any game....That would free Joe up even more for open looks that could really get him going...Iverson demands so much attention that guys like Smoove, Marvin, Evans could slash/cut for easy baskets....Bibby has shown us that all we need is a PG that scores making Hawks' opponents respect when they play us....Imagine what affect Iverson would bring us with his ability to shoot and penetrate at will....His aggressive style would keep us more uptempo than we are with Bibby....He also would fill the seats at Phillips and lead us to the Finals for years to come... DETROIT would get an elite shooting PG (like Billups) that can knock down the 3 and hit Rip on his curls/cuts which is what DETORIT offense was built upon over the last 3-4 years....Bibby is a great passer that would Rip would love to play with....Detroit is in grave danger of being in the bottom 2-3 in the East, with a probable round 1 exit.... SO BASICALLY, I prefer Bibby to stay for cheaper, but I would not turn down an Iverson-Bibby deal ...

Wouldn't it be nice to welcome Chillz back to a mid-level deal this summer, resign Bibby for much less than his current deal? But, would all that be possible? Could we also keep Zaza, Flip, and Solo to give us an even stronger bench? The Hawks would be even stronger with Chillz added to Mo, Flip, and Zaza on the bench next year...

Yes you can...If someone is hurt on that team, you have to go to "manage rosters" > team rotation > assign the player minutes and save it...If you are trying to play with them online in games...you must go to "online options" > team rotation... But Josh Smith should be in all your rosters if you download the official 2k Rosters (the last one was uploaded on Dec. 11)

Definitely get 2k9 The (5-on-5) Team Up mode, online leagues, Living Rosters (updates rosters, injuries, lineups, and player attributes), and the new Association mode (season mode) really make it worth getting...And now that they've patched the gameplay, it's the most realistic basketball game ever....

Did you watch da game? Hmmm? If you did...you would've saw that BIbby was defending JJB!!! Mo, Marv, Flip, Acie, Josh, Zaza, and even Joe (on a couple plays) were the guys that got lit up by JJB in the 3rd....None of them were able to keep him out of the paint during his explosion....Bad rotations, Woody's lack of adjustments (during the 3rd qtr) - keeping a bigger slower guard on JJB, and the poor awareness sums it up... No way am I saying that Bibby would've did any better (because he probably wouldn't have) but you can't just look at stats or highlights or something and say that JJB's run in the 3rd was because of Bibby's bad defense....He's not a great defender, but Bibby is crafty (body control, flops, tricks), experienced, and he does have quick hands that help him get hands on a lot of steals and deflections....He's just not as quick as he used to be so he's only an OK defender....

....last night's game vs NY Knick!!! When Woody pulled Flip in the 4th in favor of Bibby (right after Flip hoisted a bad shot and had a careless turnover in a close game) Flip came off the floor and Woody said something to him and Flip said something, looking as if he snapped back at Woody as he kept walking down the bench to find a seat....Woody's reaction looked as if he didn't like Flip's reaction and he turned to go after Flip and the camera kept changing back to the floor....but I did see Horford restraining Flip and stepping in between him and Woody....Tempers obviously flared, but I hope it wasn't nothing serious because we "DO" need Flip to give us a punch off the bench, but he has been struggling lately while still hogging Woody's backup PG minutes....Acie needs some of that PT to become more steady.... :slap1: Anyone else see that last night?

I'm 27 and I don't really play video games much, but I play NBA 2K because NBA 2K is the "Truth" when it comes to being the most realistic NBA simulation PERIOD....And man, the Patch that was released a couple days ago just took it to another level....Up until then the gameplay was really irritating and at time hard to enjoy....But now, the defense is a little better, rebounding is better, the shots inside are a little tougher like they should be, the A.I. pays better attention to loose balls, Team Up mode is very nice now, and a lot of freezing/crashing issues were fixed.... The game is off the chain now and the latest roster update (Dec. 3rd) was probably the best one yet...They cleaned up the 3PT ratings across the board (then even dropped Lebron's 3PT rating to 73 - FINALLY!) and they even added Chris Paul and Derrick Rose's own isomotion and Rudy Gay's own dunk package... As for the Hawks updates: Hunter, Gardner, Morris were added weeks ago...But Marvin Williams 3PT is finally realistically upgraded @ 84, Mo Evans' 3PT is up a tad to 85, Josh Smith's block is (FINALLY) up to 96 and his overall went up to 89...

JJ's prob my favorite NBA player (along with Josh Smtih) on my favorite/hometown team and I would love to see him (Smoove and AL) lead us to a title, BUT Joe is not worth 17-18MIL...

Has there been any more updates on Smoove's return? Will he play this week? I think that we'll be fine without him against the Bucks @ home, even though we lost to NJ @ home. We are desperately in need of some of his energy and hustle because the team is just not nearly as competitive without Josh. We are already losing winnable games (New Jersey, Indiana) and that's the thing that plagued us during all those the bad (non-playoff years). And for crying out loud, what is the f'n deal with Speed-less Claxton these days? The last we heard, he strained or pulled his hamstring way back in preseason. I just want to know if he's working out, walking/running, practicing with the team or what! I mean is there any way we could get news on this guys anymore? Should he just retire and allow us to make some other moves that could clean up our team a little more.

Coach Woodson can call out Josh Smith (preseason at that) in front of all the guys for poor, lethargic play but Joe Johnson (our superstar leader) can cruise through games all relaxed and score just 4 points and a conference foe? WTF is up with Joe? For the last 4-5 games, he has struggled with his shot early and then goes away from scoring until later in the game when he may get a couple baskets...4 points is unacceptable for your star player in a blowout... Somebody needs to get in his ass about being aggressive and stop coasting through games whe nhe's not spot on with his shot early...So what if the ref is not calling fouls on his drives and stuff....If they call like that, then he should drive harder, and get more aggressive...I don't care if he has to shoot, drive, and post up every time down until he gets going, he needs to take on the burden of put the ball in the basket...He is probably my favorite player, so I expect more EFFORT even if he ends up with 4 pts in the end...He just coasted after he couldn't get off early vs CLE and when we made runs he was never there to give us that push we needed from the team's leader...

Nuff said... Joe gotta find da heart to take over and be a little more aggressive on offense.... Bibby is making his case to be traded clearer and clearer... Let's hope that Al's not hurt bad enough to miss any games...

I mean damn, damn, DAMN!!! Every game, every opponent just gets whistles consistently.... We're shooting more jumpers, but we're also get hit, bumped, and everything else that these teams are getting half the time...but Joe (our All-Star) and no one else is getting call like these teams' players are... Playing bad defense (which is what we are doing without Josh) but bad calls, questionable calls, and especially, late calls for the opponents is really pissing me off....You have to respect Joe and the guys for not going ballistic and getting tons of Ts...

It was a great game and very dramatic and you couldn't have expected the Hawks to even be in the game that late. If you saw the score and not the game, you would normally think that the Celtics were missing KG and Pierce was in foul trouble or something. WOW!!! No Hawks fan can really complain about that...... BUT.... The officiating was clearly one-sided the whole game in Boston's favor...Woody shouldn't have let the Celts cut that 16 point lead down to a tie. He could have allowed orford to get a few minutes during our big 2nd Qtr run to maybe stay into it. He ended up back on the bench with 1 bad call (pierce charge on the baseline) and 1 good call (on a Pierce pump fake/flop) in the 3rd Qtr anyway. But how fair was it to call cheap fouls on Horford (our best big man), knowing that Josh was injured and then Zaza got hurt as well? Especially when the Hawks (Mostly JJ) hardly got any calls going inside. And you had guys like KG and Big Baby grabbing and pushing all game. Any one else see when Big Baby pushed Solo from behind coming down the court / Solo fell and slid from just across half court almost to the paint - and guess what? No call. The Celtics did not play well enough to win this game and PP did not deserve to hit that shot! But he made a tough fadeaway and sometimes people get things they don't really deserve. What can you say? What a fight! What a game! WE ARE FOR REAL!!! We'll see them beeotches in December @ Phillips!!!

Pierce has just turned into a flat out B-B-Beeotch!!! Over the last 3-4 years, all he does is look for fouls, he plays soft and looks for the ref to bail him out of those dumb out control drives and other bad shots. Off the ball he just tries to run into people and draw fouls the whole game to get to the line. If he's not playing out of control, he tries to drive (but since he clearly has lost a step) then he'll pump fake to get guy in the air or simply jump into him and wait for the refs to give him a pathetic reward of FTs. It's a smart move but it should be your last option when being aggressive not a plan against every player that guards you. He knows he'll get a call so he looks to do it instead of trying to make a shot. AND HE DEIFNITELY DIDN'T DESERVE TO MAKE THAT GAME-WINNER after all those BS calls kept them on the FT line and our only solid big man on the bench most of the game. Do you think KG would have been on the bench if Pierce was out and Powe got hurt in that same game? HELL NAW!!!

You are definitely NOT alone man...NBA 2K games are the only games that I play and LOVE them...But 2k9 being the best basketball graphics, gameplay, and realistic sports game ever, the online has disappointed the masses and thousands are lighting up their board with complaints... They are saying that they have been working to iron out all of the online issues...They initially said that they would be done by the end of last week...SO hopefully within the next week or two we'll get to go hard...Hit me (GT: ATL Kenta) up...I welcome all challengers... Meanwhile download the most realistic rosters on 2k "KPMM Official Rosters v.1" that include better ratings for all players (i.e. no more ridiculously high 3pt ratings) / all trades and signings as of 10/12/08 and 4-5 missing players created, including our own Randolph Morris! Also, please show support and rate it 5...

I already got the game last night (Friday) and when I tell you they went all out....Man!!! I really didn't think that 2k could make 2k8 look like nothing....This year they took it to another level that will blow you away...NBA Live or should I say "NBA Dead"has to be tucking their tails with their little DNA 365 stuff and running like a wounded, three-legged dog...

He is at best #8 or 9....
