  1. Anybody can hit me up if you play NBA 2K8 on XBL (No BS cheesers, even though I beat most of them too - LOL!)...Check my gamer tag and holla...I'm also COD4 here and there...
  2. The negotiations to get Smoove re-signed are moving slower than pouring Southern style mashed potatoes...But here's an update....
  3. Let's make an offer for J.R. Smith, who I believe is one of the only remaining FAs that could replace Childress and the impact he brought off the bench. He is a super athletic SG who can flat out score in bunches and give us a spark off the bench and spread the floor with his ability t o shoot the 3. I wanted us to go after him 2 years ago before DEN grabbed him. And now we have another chance NOW and he could be cheaper than what Chillz wanted. HE's THE PERFECT FIT FOR OUR TEAM!!! Young. Athletic. 3pt Shooting. High-Flyer. Affordable. Especially with our need for scoring and athleticism off the bench! Acie + JR Smith is nice young backcourt in a 2 unit that could really come in and give starters a big lift and really decide some games for us here and there. Re-sign Smoove + Sign JR Smith + Sign Kwame = A- / B+ Offseason!!!
  4. Offer DEN this very reasonable deal: Bibby (expiring $15.2M) + Marvin ($5.6M) = $20.8+M - for - Iverson ($21.9) Why Bibby to DEN? Bibby is not only an expiring contract that would appeal to DEN, but he is (still) one of the better PGs in the league with playoff experience, ability to score, pass, and lead at a high level...So Bibby might solidy the PG spot for them as opposed to having AI playing tweener. This would also allow JR/Melo to be their #1 and #2 scorers Why Marvin to DEN? He could blossom in high power offense where he's not pushed to be the #2 guy...He could play big minutes off the bench along with Kleiza and company....He'd be a restrcted free agent next summer so DEN could resign him or use him to maneuver deals with their cap space next year... Why Iverson to ATL? Why not? Especially with us being able to add him without losing JJ, Smoove, or Horford...The salaries are pretty much a match and he is an expiring contract like Bibby anyway...He could put us deep into the playoffs this year without costing the bank and keeping our nucleus...He'd also blow the roof off of Phillips Arena every night with attendance...Teams would not be able to double JJ or Iverson and with that offensive fire power, Woody would even look like COY!!! Come on now!!! Ai + Joe + Al + Smoove? That has to make us instant contenders!! BOSTON pulled the trigger last year and gnabbed KG for Jefferson+fillers and they got Ray for Delonte+pick+fillers...those bold steps gave them a title...ATL took them to gm7 with a poor offensive attack (an less than 100% Bibby)...I know Iverson would put us over. It CAN'T HURT TO OFFER IT!!!
  5. We shouldn't even be thinking about trading Josh....with or w/o Woody coaching next year!!! What's wrong with y'all? I understand the criticism that Marvin is catching because of what he should be able to do + we need from him vs. he's only 21-22. But Josh has a huge impact on this franchise and this city that can not simply be replaced by "adding a needed piece" and he wants to be here! Guys, relax and take in the fact our team has finally made it back the playoffs, took the series all the way to Game 7, still remained very young, maintained cap flexibility (minus Speedy), played on a national TV stage and somewhat have ARRIVED. Let's give them some rest, see how the summer goes, resign the Joshes, see how they develop after another offseason, and hope they come back with a strong healthy Bibby, get something for or from Speedy, and look for big things next year!!!!
  6. 1. Joe gotta find his balls again and get aggressive. He is our man and we know he got it in him but he gotta stop going through the motions and start attacking even if he has to put up 20-25 shots. 2. Bibby gotta get more than 15 and I'm not talking bout another 15 minutes of fame for popping off at the mouth. He should start, but if he doesn't get off early against Rondo in Game 3 then Woody should give Law a shot and then bring Bibby back against Cassell. 3. Smoove and Horford should keep up the fight inside but play more physical at home, especially with so many Celtics cutting through the paint. And also, keep forcing KG to take jumpers and fade-aways. 4. Woody's idiotic %^& needs to keep Chillz from playing PG and let him get back to attack and do his specialties on the baseline. He also needs to get West minutes other than the last seconds of quarters. 5. I think it wouldn't be bad if we maybe tried to start Zaza / Smoove / Horford / JJ / Bibby because Zaza could flop around for a few minutes vs Perkins and probably get him in early foul trouble. Horford plays better D on KG than Smoove can and that would allow Smoove to keep Pierce from having a free trip to the paint all game vs Marvin.
  7. Link Can any of y'all believe this inexcusable mockery of "Law" that has darkened this day around the country? OMG! That's why it's never going to stop getting harder to live in this country and outside countries will continue to grow against us and we [the people] have nothing to do with it. PLEASE....Guys, don't let this die without making a stand, showing support, or at least spreading the word. Add RIP Sean Bell to your Myspace, Facebook, etc. or something. RIP Sean Bell
  8. Quote: The Lakers are prolly the best team in the West. That game was HEAVILY dictated by the refs early and it got the Hawks outta focus and the rest was downhill. Now, of course, they should play through calls and stuff, but the refs let one teams' star physically harass the opponents' star (Joe) on DEF and not be called. Then he (Kobe) goes down the court and does what he wants and every time he's contested or defended it's a foul every time.... Announcer: "Joe drives, defended by Kobe..." [keep in mind this is with Kobe and other Lakers slapping/bumping/grabbing] Announcer continues: "He's stripped by Kobe, and the Lakers have it!!!" Announcer: "Fisher brings it up, passes to Kobe..." Announcer continues: "Kobe dribbles, Joe defends...." Ref: [whistle] ..."Foul on the reach...#2!" They win a gimmie game like that and YOU think they're the best team in the West - ...we'll see when they get jobbed by the West's elite teams (PHX, SAS, DAL, and NOH)
  9. STEP UP!!! And stay the F'K UP!!! He needs to STOP SLEEP WALKING through games waiting for Marvin and the Joshes to take over games and get the D off of him. HE IS THE LEADER of a young inexperienced team who possess the tools to be an very exciting, explosive team. TRUE: It is very evident that a battle-tested vet PG who penetrates and shoots pretty decent is our biggest need. But the Hawks are blowing opportunity after opportunity to get a lot of wins and make the road to the playoffs a lot easier. And as the LEADER, a lot of the fault has to fall on JJ. He's always shown that he can't be stopped when he's aggressive and he has his shot falling inside, mid, and outside. But he has not been demanding the ball, he has not been running to the ball to take big shots, and he has not been very confident on the offensive end all year. Last year, the supporting cast was not prducing as much and the defense was even tougher because of that, and Joe put up 25ppg! Why isn't he even close to doing that this year? Though he is playing strong tough defense, he doesn't have to same look on offense this year and his shot doesn't look as sharp. I wonder if Woody is demanding too much from JJ on D and if that could be casuing his offensive struggles? We need JOE to be JOE!!! Not Josh to be Joe or Marvin to be Joe!!! Joe has to be our Kobe/ Wade/ Lebron - our star leader, especially in games where the offense is sputtering!
  10. A lot of these very winnable games were blown this year because of lack of energy from our main rotation of guys. But Woody does not help with his horrible substitution patterns. Last night I was nearly praying for him to put Mario in in the 3rd vs. MIL. Mario brings so much energy every time he's on the floor but he gets the DNP last night when the main guys were dried out and JJ was SLEEP WALKING again. Now he subbed for JJ effectively last night vs MIL but it was for F'N T-Lue!!! And what did Lue give us during that slow dragging stretch when the game could have been seized? 4pts 2ast - 2TOs in nearly 15 mins. He played Solo (another energy guy) for a few secs at the end of the 1st half. That's it! This knucklehead, Mike Woodson, gave all the bigs' backup minutes to Lorenzen! WTF! How funny is that? Let's see Lo gave us: more fouls (3) than points + rebounds in 12.5 mins! This is in the same game where we got out rebounded by 12 (52-40). So we held Redd to 17pts, Mo-Will didn't play, Mason did not play, and we got out rebounded by 12 and loss. WOW. It makes you wonder how far are we from being a good team? And if we'll ever be as good as we can with Woody coaching? WHAT AN IDIOT!!! Even though Woody did not miss FTs, did not miss rebounds, or did not play with poor energy...it seems like he wasn't watching the game where his players did. WHAT AN IDIOT!!!
  11. It's ONLY one game. Frustrating, but it was ONLY ONE GAME. Rest assure some one will get on his @ss about playing stronger.

    Saw 3

I saw earlier today as well, I give it 4 out of 5 stars. It was solid with some suspenseful. So if you haven't seen it yet, it's worth seeing. I don't figure there to be a part 4 in the future. Even though there are a few things that suggest a 4th Saw, I just don't think there's enough reason for it after the ending of this one.
  13. Salim has to benefit from Marvin's injury more than any other Hawk, with the exceptions of Freije (who makes the cut over Big G) and of course, Shelden, who will most likely start now. I say this because Salim has the potential to be the 2nd best scorer on the team behind JJ and he has proven that he can really put up the points. So with Marvin out for a month or so, we're gonna need an extra scoring punch off the bench.
  14. I think Smoove and JJ's turnover will definitely drop with Speedy's return.
  15. I like us keeping Batista. But WTF are they doing keeping Freije? Especially with him not being a strong rebounder/ defender. From what I hear, he's a tall, decent shooter but that's about it. Has anyone seen him in action this preseason? What else can he bring to the table. Because we don't need another Peja D, even though P-Drob wasn't too bad for us back then.
  16. I think if Lebron & co. plays JJ, the fowards, and ZaZa should atleast play a half. It'd be nice to see Speedy in action, too. That way we could see how we'd match up against one of the projected Eastern confrence playoff teams.
  17. IMO, we should only keep Glyniadakis and Batista for depth and added toughness inside. Because with Solomon seeing no preseason action (due to injury it seems), he'll likely be in the NBDL most of the year, we will need Batist/ Big Glyn at the PF/C spots off the bench. Especially late in halves and end of games to close out leads with inside D that prevent easy baskets that usually spark runs. None of the other guards/ fowards have made any strong claims to be kept. And with the Smoove/ Marvin combo likely to start and JJ logging his usual 39-40 min/g, Chillz will gather the bulk of the SG/SF backup minutes and Salim will scrap the remaining PG/SG minutes. I think this lineup will win us at least 12+ more games and put us close to that .500 (playoff race) mark. People won't understand the impact that adding Speedy, Lo, and Shelden will have on this team until the season really gets going. C - Zaza / Lo / Glyn PF - Smoove / Shel / Batista SF - Marvin / Chillz SG - JJ / Salim PG - Speedy / Lue / Ivey IR/ NBDL - Solomon
  18. The new NBA website is very clean and smooth.
  19. I'm a multimedia/ web designer and that site is quite impressive!!!
  20. That's pretty funny. Atleast it is right now, because we don't see boris being a max $ talent. And he is not right now. But he did avg 13/6/6 last season and that was playing with Nash playing PG. So, in all fairness, what if Boris played with a scoring PG (post-Nash of course) and learned to be the team's main distributor. Would it be a stretch to avg 16pts, 8reb, 8asst? How many players in the league put up those numbers? Would the be worth max money or at least $10M/year?
  21. My name says it all. I'm in Roswell and I was born and raised in the A and don't plan on living anywhere else. I've always rooted for my hometown teams here and true die hard fans always feel like their team is never out of a game until its over. Hawks, Falcons, and Braves for life!!!
  22. It's funny when you think how teams always prove these jackasses wrong year after year, making them look so stupid. So we should let the idiots talk out of their asses while the Hawks blow up right in front of them. Then they'll be trying to jump on our bandwagon and claim that they were always rooting for us. It's going to be funny and feel so good to slap them in the face with it too.
  23. I voted for JJ, because how well can he be compared side by side with most SGs in the NBA and he still doesn't get a lot of recognition. I also think that GWallace and BKnight are pretty underated as well.
