  1. No he didn't. Another first round exit for the nuggest and they want to pay him the max out here. To that I say no thank you.
  2. He had just signed a 4yr deal with his club overseas like the day before the draft, so it's looking like a real possibility. I am among those who thinks he should just be brought over and thrown into the fire, but DF has more experience than I do so I am going to follow his lead on this one. I mean the kid could be like Tyson Chandler, who was tall and skinny and his early teams didn't wait for him to develop. Or he could be stromile swift. Who knows
  3. Can't Tyreke at this point only take the 1 yr qualifying offer and become unrestricted next year? By making the rounds now, you gauge your value. Go back to Sac to play the last year out, see what becomes of the Cousins situation and playing with Mclemore, and then maybe next year's market is even better for you? If the Hawks don't expect to beat out the Pelican's bid, I would make it known that we are buying time to come at you with a better offer next year, and pair you with even better talent than we can present to you this year. Here's my card... think it over.
  4. lol .... not me. I'm just saying tanking is really never the answer. Sure a few teams have gotten lucky but I just can't concede to tanking like so many others. Point of the post was that I wish that no matter what the situation is... this is the mindset... we are better than tanking
  5. Ainge wasn't running things back then....
  6. Oh how I wish everyone had this same sentiment
  7. Born this day 1992..... current draftee MIKE MUSCALA is somewhere celebrating his 22nd birthday today!!! Bet he's never had a party like the one he's about to have in ATL! If you are in ATL someone please get this man a lap dance!!!
  8. Or we could just bring back Anthony Tolliver for that role for the low low
  9. Few notes from his college days: Awards & Honors:All-Pac-12 First Team (2012)All-Pac-12 Second Team (2011)Pac-12 All-Tournament Team (2011, 2012)Pac-12 All-Defensive Team (2011, 2012)Legends Classic All-Tournament Team (2012) Thing that stands out,
  10. I don't know about D Williams being an Atlanta Hawks executive. Odd that you would give such credit to a player on a different team more credit than you would your GM who would have to pull the trigger on any deal, regardless who wants it. Plain and simple its like this: Ferry in his first year has been far more competent than any other GM in the hawks past 20 years already. I'm in no way ready to sign my AARP papers and hit up the golden corral's weekly special, but I remember back to when we couldn't wait to get out of the Babcock era, the B.K. era, noticing, however slight that Sund was an upgrade from the previous GMs, and now we have Ferry. No way a GM gets it right 100% of the time, so if that's what everybody wants then it's always going to be a let down. But if you look at Ferry's track record, he has to be considered one of the most successful GM over the past several years. Anytime he has moved on to a new team it's been on his accord. Everybody talks about the spurs, but its DF handprint in the mix. Even with Cleveland Danny imprint has set them up for success. So why not be optimistic? Has he made a wrong move yet? I wouldn't say so. Because we haven't had much success, it's easy to see why so many members here just jump aboard whatever philosophy the next team has. A month ago it OKC, or Memphis, then it became the Pacers, then the Spurs, and now the Nets. So that's why you have to take a lot of what is said with a grain of salt. It's all just everyone venting and wish anyway. the most important thing to take out of this is Danny got exactly who he wanted without sacrificing the future be it next wk or next yr. If there was a problem with that then I would mind more. He clearly wanted those two guys. And when was the last time any of our gm's drafted a NEED??? Kudos just for that for once!! The ability to communicate with other teams efficiently without getting taken to the cleaners and have MULTIPLE OPTIONS to move to is something that can't be said and should be recognized. Chess > checkers ladies and gents.
  11. I know this topic is a draft topic will eventually be moved to that board but I wanted to pose the question to the community and felt this was initial best place to get all responses I want to know others thoughts on their possible what if Danny did ..... scenario. Only stipulation is that it has to be draft night related. For instance.... mine is... What if CP3 wasn't in play this year, so Danny made a move to grab Jrue Holiday from the sixers.
  12. Thanks. I missed a few of the middle picks so I had to go back and dig a little. Don't know what I was thinking figuring that Al Horford would still be around . So far I have 3 quality players that produce across the board. so I am really please. You all are making it tough on me for sure.
  13. For a year where the draft was suppose to be so "weak" they gave out what seems like an overall higher grade than normal for most teams in league
  14. I am satisfied with this years draft By drafting Bebe, DF was able to get 1 of my personal top 3 center prospects. Also drafting to for need gets a plus from me. I posted a link in one of the other threads on bebe speculating that he will be staying overseas with his club who just offered an extension. By drafting Schröder DF took one of the surprise players I was hoping we would land. So no complaints there. Schröder will be brought over immediately I believe. And surprisingly DF took another one of my dark horse favorites in Muscala. I don't know if people don't think his game will transition to the NBA or if there is some knock I don't recognize but he had a pretty solid college career. The only thing I would say is, I wish we didn't have to give up that 18 pick. I think if we could have come away with Karasev there too or used it trade down it would have been a great move.
  15. With the 37 pick in the 2013 Hawksquawk Dynasty Draft, Chinky Eyed Hawk is glad to welcome Jrue Holiday Once again, quality production across the board for a very young PG. Will give me quality stats from ppg, bbp, spg, asp,rpg A player that I think flies under the radar. Quality production for position PG Holiday SG SF James PF C Bosh
  16. With the 36 pick in the 2013 Hawksquawk Dynasty Draft, Chinky Eyed Hawk is glad to welcome two time champion CHRIS BOSH http://youtu.be/Hv7IZP7u9FE With the draft moving into the middle rounds felt like it was crucial to get someone who could contribute across the board that could play at a high pace for several more years. Bosh is a top 15 C/F across the board in Reb, blocks, points, ast, and sts. With him paired with LBJ, I should be well positioned across the board in all of these categories I just named. In the event Chrish Bosh gets traded I believe some of these numbers will increase.
  17. Once we finish this 2nd round can we get a thread pinned with just the picks listed in order?
  18. This is great!! He was one of the players I was hoping would be a surprise pick for the hawks!!! great!!! All along he's been saying that he was going to play this year in the league. He was reported as having a first round guarantee back during the combine so I think there is a strong chance that he will be in a hawks uniform next year. The only reason he wasn't at the draft tonight was because his parents didn't get their visa in time. Nogueira will probably be the stash player http://www.sportando.net/eng/europe/spain/57899/asefa-estudiantes-extends-lucas-nogueira-till-2015.html Asefa Estudiantes extended the contract of Lucas Nogueira till June 2015.The player will be also in the 2013 NBA Draft where he could be picked in the first round.
  19. No way he falls that low. If he goes that low that is a steal for sure. He is one I wouldn't mind moving up for and having in the mix. I want any of the following surprise picks.... KCP, Len, Rice, or Schröder. I have given up on the potential to land a "surprise" pg draftee from this draft. Unfortunately for me most of the players I REALLY think are going to have solid careers are the point guards (McCollum, Schröder, Canaan, Wolters,)
  20. Olynyc = Sheldon Williams all over again
  21. He's been more relevant with the hawks since the sale of the thrashers. He was always back and forth anyways. Gearon Jr was just more verbal at the crucial times.
