cyman3
Since DJ is out for the season, we are left with 1 spot open. C: Ratliff, Mohammed PF:Abdur-Rahim, Henderson SF:Robinson, Crawford SG:Newble, Glover PG:Terry, Dickau, Davis I think we need a 3 point threat at the SG/SF position. On our team, who can u count on to hit the big 3 other than JT? After JT i trust Robinson... but hes no 3 point threat. Glover is a decent 3 point shooter... we need to do better. I say add in a VETERAN like DELL CURRY... i cant wait for the season to start...
Guest
Dell is a horrible defender and needs to retire. He is a EXTREMELY limited player now.
Gray Mule
We have, in my opinion, two choices. 1-- A three point threat that can play some defense. 2 -- A big body, ala "Tractor Trailer" type who can play some mean defense under the basket, bang with the big boys and get his share of rebounds while he is in there. Someone who will not get "Pushed around" inside. Either one of these two could be a veteran player on the downside of his career who wants to play one or two more years and would willing to settle for just a few minutes per game and a small annual salary. The other option would be a young, borderline player, who has potential but has not really had a chance in the N.B.A. Last season, Hawks got Newble and there may be a player fitting the above description just waiting for the right opportunity. I am not that well read on all the players out there but I am sure there are players out there who fit that description given above, maybe #1 or Maybe #2. That's the type player I think we need. Guest
Granted that trading for Dogg added a vet to the team, we're still young at many of our 1st string/ bu spots (JT, though he's battle tested now; Ira, DD, Dion, Nazr) - I'd rather go with option number 1, get a big body for those times when we're playing teams with a banger inside/ need some toughness (Theo isn't that type of player, neither is SAR or Nazr - the closest we have is Hendu...). Gray Mule
That would be my choice, too. Sometimes we get shoved around inside and the huge bodies make it hard for our smaller, faster players to do anything about it. Gray Mule
