Admin capstone21 Posted November 23, 2005 Admin Report Share Posted November 23, 2005 Usually the trades posted on realgm forums are terrible for one or all of the teams. This trade that was posted kinda helps all the teams involved. Atlanta Trade Breakdown Outgoing Josh Smith Josh Childress Al Harrington Incoming Charlie Villanueva Chris Wilcox Andre Miller The Hawks get some great balance in their lineup, while getting back equal value for their players. Miller would be a tremendous help at the point, while Villa and Wilcox give them some very good young big men. Miller/Lue Johnson/Stoudamire Williams/Smith Villanueva/Wilcox Pachulia/Wilcox Toronto Trade Breakdown Outgoing Charlie Villanueva Incoming Josh Smith The Raptors get a very versatile, exciting young player in Smith. Villanueva has been great for them, but with him playing the same position as Bosh problems could emerge in the rotation. Smith has the ability to play the 2, 3, and 4, so he would fit in great into their lineup. His shot blocking skills would also be a tremendous help to their defense. James/Calderon Peterson/Rose Smith/Grahm Bosh/Bonner Williams/Woods L.A. Clippers Trade Breakdown Outgoing Chris Wilcox Incoming Josh Childress The Clippers could use some help at the backup 2/3 spots, and Childress is the type of player that Dunleavy would like. Wilcox, on the other hand, has started to see his minutes drop, and will always be behind Elton Brand in that lineup. Cassell/Livingston Mobley/Childress Maggette/Childress Brand/McCarty Kaman/Rebracca Denver Trade Breakdown Outgoing Andre Miller Incoming Al Harrington With the Nuggets having 3 very capable point gaurds and injury problems in their frontcourt, this would be a smart move. Harrington can come in and backup both forward spots for Denver, and would be able to start for Martin if his injury problems persist. Watson/Boykins Johnson/Lenard Anthony/Harrington/Najera Martin/Harrington Camby/Elson
mudderfudder77
Wow, Toronto and the Clippers would get royally screwed in this deal. Why would Toronto trade for a player who in his second season isn't playing as well as the rookie they drafted is playing 10 games in?
BornandDieHawks
Before I would go for a trade like this, I would have to know the contracts for these players. I know Villanueva is a rookie, but Miller and Wilcox contracts could be up soon. We can't keep gutting our team every year and hope we turn this thing around. Dragitoff
I'm not questioning your trade, just simply asking a question, how often to trades such as this actually go down? That's alot of people and teams involved.
