Why atlanta does it:

Get a sg that can actually shoot, and still keep the 6-8 theme going, along with veteran leadership

Why portland does it:

Get rid of Ruben Patterson, but they still keep young talent on the roster with potential, along with help in their front court

Why miami does it:

get more help for their front court, get another shooter who can come in and play now, and they get two young swingmen with potential

I can't think of any reason for anyone not to like this trade.

Everyone gets what they need, and no one comes out looking like they got robbed.

Would really be good for now, and down the road.

Yep, he is a great leader. Goes off on his coach because he is not playing as much as he thinks he should on a rebuilding team. If he is unhappy with Portland's rebuilding effort, why do you think he would be happy with ours? Heck, they have actually won a few games!

As for Miami, they would be NUTS to do that deal. Dorrell Wright is going to be better than anybody they would get.

That's what your deal gets us. Another inexperienced wing player, who doesn't meet any need we have.. and patterson.. a low talent scrub whose claim to fame in the NBA is calling himself "the Kobe stopper" to which Kobe promptly responded by dropping like 40 on him.
