So, over the Thanksgiving holiday, the Girl's family took me to the shooting range. I'd never fired a gun of any sort before. I gotta say, it was a very nice experience.

We fired some .45 made for the Israeli army, a huge .44 Dirty Harry style thing, and some little .38 special purse-carryable gun.

The funny part was that I -- the total neophyte -- obliterated the targets in much more murderous fashion than the experienced gun-toters. I credited copious amounts of Duck Hunt on the NES as well as my technique (controlled breathing, imagining Chairman Mao's face on the target.)

Next up, I think I'll try some clay shooting, as a friend of mine has a client that owns a hunting/shooting club up near Athens.

Then after that, maybe I'll kill an animal. Maybe with a gun, maybe with a spear or perhaps a trebuchet!

While I was shooting, I wore my Hawksquawk sweatshirt. Perhaps that explains my deadeye accuracy!

then again, 80% of the time that i don't wear it, we lose

I painted my loft Hawk red (true!) and we have only won 2 games. I think more of you need to paint your homes Hawk red.
