Iverson...

I think Philly is going to finally move Iverson. I just do not see them winning with their current lineup; and Iverson and Webber cost way to much to justify having a lotto team.

What if we sent Chillz, Salim, and our #5 for Iverson and their #13. That would be a 5th, a 6th (Chillz), and a high 2nd (Salim) for Iverson and a 13th.

Money matching is not a issue, we are way under the cap.

Would Philly do this?

Would we? I would and then take a flyer on Sene or Splitter (I think O'Bryant would be gone) with the 13th. Still have Harrington to move or keep as well.

Trade Harrington instead of any of our young guys. I wouldn't be opposed to sending Harrington and our #5 for Iverson straight up.

I think a lot of people would be opposed to Iverson here because people are under the impression he is a ballhog and will stun the development of our young players, but I really think he could put us into the playoffs. The guy still gets 8 assists per game...great player.

You're right. I'm one of those people. Iverson, Marbury, ... I think reaching for Iverson right now is what we'll do. It is EXACTLY what Babcock would have done. Let's trade the future to get another 10-15 wins next year.

I don't think moving Chilz and/or Al and keeping Smoove, MWill, and JJ is anything like trading away our future.

AI is not a reach in any GM's book. He is a future shoe in hall of famer with a whole lot of playoff experience he can bring to our table.

Probably just wishfull thinking on my part. Minnesota or NY will probably end up getting him somehow, someway...
