Snaggle
In the past years after a game several posts were made. Many opinions were offered. Players/plays were critiqued; heated discusions; debates; what went wrong; what was right; coaching changes; player changes. I don't post here much but I read most of it. It seems to me that the team lacks heart. So do the fans including Hawksquawk. Where is everybody? Does anybody really care anymore? If the Hawks have lost the heart of the fans here than they have lost their true fan base. They may as well be sold and move to a city that will welcome and support them. Wake up Atlanta! Guest
This team has a arrogance at times. It might not show but they do.They think because of their talent that will be enough to beat people. They aren't giving the effort they did last year. You never see Big Dog dive for loose balls. The players think it comes easy.Plus we need to either get some slashers or 3pt threats.Right now other than Shareefs rare post appearances we are limited to a mid range jumpshooting team with no 3pt threats or no slashers. Shareef/Big Dog/Jt/Theo are all bringing home top stats on the offensive end and Hendu is a underrated offensive rebound....However they allow to many easy offensive rebounds and stick backs. Some players that would be good right now is: Rashard Lewis/James Posey/Michael Redd would be three guys I'd like to have.
hds428
It's just so early in the season to get overly excited or disapointed. I know what you mean though, this board (and the old ezboard) were hotbeds of activity and debate for the past few years, both early in the season and late. Speaking only for myself, I'm in wait-and-see mode, I'm happy with the entire squad excpet the backup at the point. This team has alot of coming together to do yet, players have to trust eachother and play team ball even when they're in a hole, but I'm not prepared to see guys traded or coaches fired. Plus for the first time in AGES we Atlantans have some exciting football to watch and talk about.
