Either (the Pacers) are going to pay me or I'm going to go elsewhere. I'd like to be here, but the doors are still open. This is the best situation, but if they don't want to pay me, it could possibly be their loss."
beav
I know that the pacers still have a few players to sign, but if they don't find the money to max out for Oneal, then they are nuts... I can't see Walsh making that mistake though...

Premium Member Diesel Posted December 29, 2002 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted December 29, 2002 Think we can sign reggie to a cheap 2 yr deal? I think that's all he wants is 2 yrs with a team that can win. We need a SG who can hit the open shot. He'd be a great role model for DJ if he was to ever return? Also, it's said that JT and Oneal are really good friends. Maybe Walsh could hook up a deal where we send: SAR/Hendu to Indy for ONeal/Croshere. DJ_Money
Why would he do that? O'Neal is already better than Shareef, and swapping Croshere for Hendu doesn't give them much relief.
Premium Member Diesel Posted December 30, 2002 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted December 30, 2002 First off, Oneal is not as offensively gifted as SAR. Secondly, there is no use of having Croshere in Indy. He's wasting money. Isiah would like Hendu a lot better than Croshere and Hendu's contract is shorter than Croshere's. DJ_Money
Yes, but is offense the only part of the game? If it was, we would all be hailing Robinson as a God. Unfortunately, that's not the way it works.
