First half: Ball Movement

See, Diesel. When they play as a team, they can play offense a lot more efficiently. Everyone is moving the ball around, and both Big Dog and Dion and distributing the ball much better than they have in some games.

That's how the offense is supposed to be run.

could we get a rebound though? For a team with a limited frontcourt in almost every way imaginable, we're getting decimated on the boards...

still, even though they've gotten twice as many boards as us, and 17, 17!!! offensive boards to our one, we're tied at the half. Weird stat sheet as they've taken 18 more shots than us...

Funny thing is, the guy that is eating us up on the boards right now is Desmond Mason - an undersized small forward.

dickaufan12, Dan has gotten in for a few minutes in the first half. It was pretty much to just give Jason Terry a breather.

for the first time in awhile, we had fewer to's at the half than did our opponent...I guess that helps make up for the board beating...but this game is simply just weird. I mean, Dion with 8 assts...them beating us on the boards (if it's Desmond...hmmm, what does that say about the athleticism, quickness, and hustle of our sf... we're just lucky he can't shoot as well as he drives to the hoop or he'd be lighting up GRob...most sf shooters tend to do that).

Robinson - 57% fg, 17 pts, 4 rbs, 7 assts, 1 st, 3 to.

Mason - 38% fg, 12 pts, 8 rbs, 0 assts, 1 st, 1 to.

Looks like Dog more than held his own in that head to head matchup and he outplayed Tim Thomas when he was matched up with him as well.

EVERYBODY who played at least 15 minutes for them except Cassell had at least 2 offensive boards. Mason led them with 5 but it was hardly just him who killed us on the glass.

Mason is quicker and more athletic than Dog so of course it was difficult for Dog to stay in front of him but he couldn't guard Dog either. Is Mason a poor defender? He sure couldn't guard Dog. Dog clearly outplayed Mason and Thomas.
