Any more moves for us

Without a doubt the non-distributing, small guard glut (Lue, Salim, Claxton) will be thinned.

Also, the "not quite big enough to play center" group should be as well (Horford, Shelden) in hopes of getting a legit center?

I'd like to see us move some of the following guys...

Zaza Pachulia

Josh Childress (I'd love to keep him but he wants to start)

Tyronn Lue

Shelden Williams (Probably deserves AT LEAST another year)

Speedy Claxton (Someone? Anyone?

Salim Stoudamire (Will be a FA and can't see us keeping him)

...to get some veteran depth and maybe a 2008 pick

Nope this is it..your 2008 cellar dwelling, no pick in next year draft Atlanta Hawks.

I think the only way this kid is happy at the end of this draft is if the Hawks land Amare, Tim Duncan, and Tony Parker.

Negative people like you seriously make me sick. You KILL the experience of being on this board for everybody. See you guys in about three weeks or so. I can't take this negativity from these idiots.

You have to look at the big picture. The Hawks are under constriction of this ownership problem. They did the best they could with what they had.. I'm pretty damn proud of this draft. No, they won't win the east. Yes, I'm excited about next season, though.

Try being optimistic about life people! bannana_guitar.gif

Hey, JohnnyBravo. Got to LOVE your optimism.

Not for the Hawks - For ALL the other teams in the NBA.

Let's examine your reasons for being so upbeat.

1- The Hawks have had all offseason for their injuries

to heal. They begin this season 100% healthy. No

reason for that to last, however.

2- The experience that the Young Hawks gained last season

will be of NO benefit to them this year. Why should it.

3- The Hawks replaced Batista with Horford. They then

replaced Royal Ivey with Acie Law. Nope. No way

that this is any improvement.

4- Despite the fact that Atlanta has improved their

win record for the past three years, they should be

easier to beat now than ever before. That's right!

All the way on the bottom! No reason why you other

NBA teams can't win ALL your games against this Hawks

team - After all they ARE doomed for the cellar!

Jay Bilas knows and JohnnyBravo agrees! The sky is

falling and the Hawks have fallen and can't get up!!

Love your optimism - For the rest of the NBA when they

have the easy task of facing the Hawks.

Zaza Pachulia

for a good center, sure; otherwise, name 20 better centers than him before trading him away for scraps

Josh Childress (I'd love to keep him but he wants to start)

has he said he wants to start? u got a quote? or is this just speculation? he may be fine with 30mpg 6th man of the year?

Tyronn Lue

go for it!

Shelden Williams (Probably deserves AT LEAST another year)

not unless getting a legit good big man; otherwise, let him show what he's got when healthy

Speedy Claxton (Someone? Anyone?

he's apparently done surgery and getting back to 100%...if he does get close to 100% and can stay healthy, u'll be applauding BK for signing him as he's a really good pg when healthy...don't trade him yet

Salim Stoudamire (Will be a FA and can't see us keeping him)

if they feel he won't stay (a la diaw who wasn't gonna re-sign), then trade him; if not, keep him on for pretty cheap as a bench sniper; very valuable to have when we are a good team
