Jury selected to hear Robinson case

Hawks forward Glenn Robinson's domestic violence and gun possession trial will resume Thursday at the Cook County courthouse in Markham, Ill.

Attorneys on both sides made opening statements Wednesday about three hours after a jury was selected.

Robinson was charged in July with misdemeanor counts of domestic battery, assault and unlawful possession of a firearm after prosecutors said he threatened and pushed ex-fiancee Jonta French.

The trial is not expected to last long, a Cook County spokesperson said. If convicted, Robinson could face up to a year in prison.
