Packfill
Will Al Horford become the low post scorer the Hawks desperately need?
exodus
First of all we need perimeter shooting much more than we need post scoring. Right now it is easy for teams to crowd the middle and dare us to shoot. Our only shooters are JJ and Marvin and they are both off. Secondly Smith is becoming a pretty good post scorer in his own right. He has made great strides considering he didn't post up hardly at all last year. In order for Horford to become an effective scorer he is going to have to stop this back to the basket routine which hasn't worked all year. he is better off facing up and trying to drive. Even if he doesn't beat his man all the way to the basket he will force the defender to move laterally. When the defender is on the move that gives the advantage to Horford because he will be able to use his body more effectively when the defender is back on his heels. Trying to back down bigger guys won't work. He has to make them move their feet.
