Recommended Posts

Here we go...exploring options with every NBA team, a list of logical trades for Nazr/CC. No SNTs yet, I'll work on those later.

-Nazr/CC to Boston for Battie/Delk

-Nazr/CC to Chicago for Marshall/Fizer

-Nazr/CC to Cleveland for Miles/Stewart

-Nazr/CC to Dallas for LaFrentz

-Nazr/CC to Denver for Camby

-Nazr/CC to Detroit for Williamson/Atkins

-Nazr/CC to Golden State for Richardson/Fortson

-Nazr/CC to Houston for Cato

-Nazr/CC to Indiana for Croshere/Tinsley

-Nazr/CC to LA Clippers for Richardson/Wilcox/Jaric/Dooling (Ok, maybe not. But, for the sake of getting every team involved...)

-Nazr/CC to LA Lakers for Fox/Fisher

-Nazr/CC to Memphis for Knight/Battier

(Ok, so there's no way to make a deal with Miami. Still, we press on...)

-Nazr/CC to Milwaukee for Caffey/Mason

(Nothing with Minnesota. They've already traded their whole roster.)

-Nazr/CC to New Jersey for Kittles

-Nazr/CC to New Orleans for Wesley/Lynch/Traylor

-Nazr/CC to New York for Weatherspoon/Harrington

(Nothing with Orlando. Kinda ironic, isn't it?)

-Nazr/CC to Philadelphia for McKie/Buckner

-Nazr/CC to Phoenix for Outlaw/Johnson

-Nazr/CC to Portland for Anderson

-Nazr/CC to Sacramento for Clark/Funderburke

-Nazr/CC to San Antonio for Rose/Bowen

-Nazr/CC to Seattle for Barry/Radmanovic

-Nazr/CC to Toronto for Peterson/Murray/Bradley

-Nazr/CC to Utah for Ostertag

-Nazr/CC to Washington for Laettner/Thomas

Whew...enjoy. Maybe I'll get to SNT deals when I wake up tomorrow.

The Hawks have roughly about 96 minutes to split between Nazr, Theo, SAR, and Henderson. SAR will take 38 and Theo will take 30-32. That leaves only 28-30 minutes/game to split between two guys that are making $13M combined this next year. As discussed before, Nazr's deal is the cheaper of the two: 3 yrs., ~$15M (Nazr) vs. 2 ys. $15M (Hendu).

So, I began looking for deals:

1. Nazr/pick for Matt Harpring.

The Jazz need a low-post player and have a redunancy of good SF's in Harpring & Kirileinko (who is much cheaper). Depending on what the pick is, Harpring is as good as the Hawks could get at SF (and a GT guy).

2. Nazr/CC/pick? for Derek Anderson.

Anderson would be a good complement to JT's game in the backcourt. Plus, with Portland moving Sheed to SF, that means they have Stoudamire (Mr. I'm more untradeable than Allan Houston), McInnis, & Wells in the backcourt. They'll likely add a PG this offseason as well (they can have Dickau if it makes this trade more appealing). Not sure how much more (read: pick) PTL would want.

3. Nazr for Eric Snow/Samuel Dalembert. Philly adds another "big" if DC doesn't resign. Salmon's summer league play and AI's move back to PG make either McKie or Snow available. Snow joins Glover & JT in the Hawks' backcourt, while Dalembert replaces Nazr. (Snow has an opt-out after this season, IIRC).

4. Nazr for Donyell Marshall/Lonny Baxter.

The Bulls have the strangest roster in the NBA. They have so much talent they don't have room for Marshall at all. They look to lineup Pippen/Crawford/Rose/Chandler/Curry with Hinrich/Hassell/Robinson/Fizer/Nazr off the bench. Marshall gives rebounding & scoring to make up (somewhat) for the loss of Robinson.

This is somewhat offtopic but I really like Marko Jaric's game. Im not sure what position he's listed at but he's basically a 6-7 PG. He got no minutes, but he really impressed me everytime I saw him play. It seemed like he's the kind of guy who does alot that doesn't show up on the box score.

I guess his game would maybe be too similar to Diaw's (?) but I was just curious what everyone else thought of him

By the way the harpring deal would definitely be the best for us. I doubt the Jazz would go for it though

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Boston for Battie/Delk

Battie > Nazr, Delk > Battie

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Chicago for Marshall/Fizer

Fizer > CC

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Cleveland for Miles/Stewart

They don't need Nazr.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Dallas for LaFrentz

LaFrentz's contract sucks.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Denver for Camby

Intriguing, but what's the use?

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Detroit for Williamson/Atkins

Detroit also doesn't need Nazr: Okur, Robinson, Wallace, Zebraca, Darko.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Golden State for Richardson/Fortson

Murphy, Foyle, Dampier.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Houston for Cato

ATL wouldn't make this trade.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Indiana for Croshere/Tinsley

No PT for Croshere here either.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to LA Clippers for Richardson/Wilcox/Jaric/Dooling (Ok, maybe not. But, for the sake of getting every team involved...)

If only... ;>

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to LA Lakers for Fox/Fisher

Fox would retire, so it's basically Fisher for Nazr/CC. Not worth it.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Memphis for Knight/Battier

Swift, Gasol, Wright. The need for Nazr in Memphis is less than the loss of Battier.

In reply to:

(Ok, so there's no way to make a deal with Miami. Still, we press on...)

I tried it too. It would be nice to S&T someone + Nazr/CC for Eddie Jones...

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Milwaukee for Caffey/Mason

Haislip, Smith, Przybilla, Skinner, Gadzuric.

In reply to:

(Nothing with Minnesota. They've already traded their whole roster.)

Plus, they already have Kandi, Johnson, Trent, and that KG guy.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to New Jersey for Kittles

Mutombo, Martin, Mourning, Williams, Collins.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to New Orleans for Wesley/Lynch/Traylor

Can't see NO doing this, but I like it from ATL's perspective. What about Wesley for Nazr straight-up? Nah, we have JT to be the undersized SG

In reply to:

(Nothing with Orlando. Kinda ironic, isn't it?)

They have a weird salary structure. No middle contracts, huh.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Phoenix for Outlaw/Johnson

Johnson is the SG of the future in Phoenix. Jacobsen might be available, though

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to San Antonio for Rose/Bowen

Not happening.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Seattle for Barry/Radmanovic

Both players are well liked in Seattle. Plus, they have James & Booth already.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Toronto for Peterson/Murray/Bradley

Then they have no SF.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Washington for Laettner/Thomas

Doesn't really help ATL.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to New York for Weatherspoon/Harrington

Do-able. Would give us some depth. Nazr gives them more size.

JT/Dickau

DG/Hansen/Smitty

Diaw/Weatherspoon

SAR/Harrington

Theo/Henderson/?

Wow, it would be like a trip back to earlier days - 70 pt. games...

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Philadelphia for McKie/Buckner

I like it. Philly might do it if Iverson moves over. McKie/Buckner vs. Snow/Dalembert - which is more likely?

JT/Dickau

McKie/Buckner/Hansen

Diaw/?

SAR/?

Theo/Henderson

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Portland for Anderson

See my thoughts.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Sacramento for Clark/Funderburke.

I'd do it or Hendu for Clark/Funderburke. Sac should be able to get a better deal, though.

In reply to:

-Nazr/CC to Utah for Ostertag

Cap dump. A distinct possibility. Henderson for Ostertag would be more likely, no?.

Armstrong (sign and trade) + other stuff???

if Armstrong gets more $$$ here, he'll wanna stick with atlanta for sure.

i would trade Henderson first b4 Mohammed, but i dont think Henderson has much value. I think he'll give us more than what we can get from him in return. I also dont mind HENDERSON playing backup PF/C since he does get them offensive rebounds and plays smart.

but i think we should look for a SG if possible and maybe a big guy to sit on the bench just incase any injuries occur
