I hope he does in some capacity. They gave him a chance

for an interview but he wasn't hired. It could have been

that was because of his status with the Hawks, but I

doubt it.

If Hawks keep him as head coach for the coming season,

fine. They could do a lot worse. If they do hire a new

head man, Stotts should be kept as chief assistant.

He has been with the Hawks long enough to know a lot

of stuff that it would take a new coach a lot of time

to learn. We need some sense of continuation, which

he brings.

The easiest way to bring "A big splash" to the Hawks might

be to hire new people for the front office and for the

entire coaching staff. If McDavid had become the new

owner just as last season ended, this might have been

fine. It's getting late and other teams have already, for

the most part, settled this part of their orginization.

Change of subject -----

This is not basketball related, and yet it is. In light of

a certain Laker player who has been in the news this

off season, check this out. While it is all really good,

I thought article VI was interesting.

Hopefully, I can get the link right:

Not trying to say the guy is guilty of anything, but he does

stand accused. Remember, however, he is innocent until

proven guilty.

Very interesting article...

I personally think the Hawks should start over once they get their ownership in place.

Everyone said Stotts was a decent coach, but I still didn't know what type of identity he had as a coach and his team.

We need a veteran coach that has an identity through his philosophy of coaching. (i.e. defense, offense, running, etc.)

My vote would be to move to a new regime like Iraq is doing.
