I've seen people say they'd accept a SNT involving Smith and Bynum, but after reading this, I'm not sure that'd be a good idea. When I first heard about Bynum's knee I didn't think it'd be a big deal and he'd be fine this year, but this makes me wonder.

thefloydian
Moot point because LA is not trading Bynum. I was just asking in general, but it's not a moot point in terms of trades. If they were to start shopping him, it'd be a sure sign that what the article implies is the case. Relatively comfortable that is.

Yeah, I don't know. It's not just the knee; that article makes it seem like they're making Bynum into a headcase.
mattlanta
I wouldn't wanna touch Bynum right now. That looks to be a serious knee injury, and I don't know how well big men like Bynum can recover from injuries like that. I'd wanna see Bynum fully healthy for at least half the season before trading for him.
Murat
We are not getting Bynum. What's wrong with u guys. We are gonna get Odom and asg will say that him and Smith are same players. They are both left handers and same height.

They are both left handers and same height. We'd have to throw in about $8 - $10 mil in other contracts, to get Odom for Smith in a sign & trade. So that's not going to happen as well. B) As far as Bynum goes. I think it's a bit risky to trade for him right now, but if we couldn't work out a deal with Smooth and the Lakers would offer him in a sign & trade, than i'd be all over that. Though, i don't see them trading Bynum, right now.
