In addition, both Bibby and JJ are in the top 10 in 3's made and both are shooting over 40% from 3. It is amazing just how well we can shoot the ball from distance and while some think it is a fluke, I think we will continue to be at or near the top of the league in both 3's made and 3 pt %. Amazing considering how poor of a 3pt shooting team we were this time last year.
exodus
There are 11 NBA players who have made >20 3s with 3pt% > 45% and Hawks have 3 of them. Marv + Mo + Mike. Mo shot 40% from 3 last season. Bibby and JJ are proven 3 pt shooters. Marvin certainly looks comfortabe from 3. Put that all together and it definitely isn't a fluke. All four aren't going to be hot most nights. However when you have 4 quality 3 pt shooters it doesn't hurt as much when one of them is off which will inevitably happen. Just like last night Mo was 0-5 from 3 but the team still shot 41% from 3.
jerrywest2
It will be hard to shut down our 3s with 4 deadly shooters. Portland has been shooting just as well with 4 guys shooting the lights out (Fernandez, Blake, Batum, Outlaw). Their 4 best shooters have 136 3s while the 4 top Hawks got 135. Although the Blazers have a much better inside game, I think, Hawks have better chance of sustaining this in the long run. Also, Blazers top 4 shooters score 40 pts combined. Our top 4 shooters score 63. That means our shooters use the 3 point threat to wreck havoc in many other ways.
