Anyone here familiar with Los Angeles?

I'm leaving on Saturday for a week in the LA area. We've rented a house in Anaheim.

We're taking our children to Disney, I'm going to the Rose Bowl, we'll visit a friend in San Diego. I want to see Skid Row (you guys know I'm a little strange) and work out @ Muscle Beach in Venice.

We're driving way up to the Sequoia National Forest as well.

Anybody have any "must do's" or things you can't miss out in LA for a 1st time visitor?

Definitely go to Venice Beach on weekend if you want to see some of everything. (I'm not going to spoil it by telling you about all of the weird things you'll see there on the weekend.) During the week its a little tamer but on the weekend all the freaks come out.

If your wife wants to do some shopping the Grove is a nice place and Universal Studios is a good look also.
