Premium Member NineOhTheRino Posted January 6, 2009 Premium Member Report Share Posted January 6, 2009 NJ Nets. I know it’s way too early to be talking playoffs but.... It just seems that the Nets have the Hawks number. Vince Carter has always been a Hawks-Killer. Now add in Harris and this team is a very bad matchup for the Hawks. Say the Hawks make the playoffs as a 4 seed or better. There would be good chance the Nets would be the 1st or 2nd round opponent. Call me crazy but I think the Hawks would have a slightly better chance playing opposite the Celtics or Magic early.
Gray Mule
Agreed. Every season, for some strange reason, one team is able to beat another team, game after game. A few years ago, one of the very good eastern teams was able to win a lot of games. Every time they faced the Hawks, they came up short. At the same time, Charlotte, which wasn't very good, worked the Hawks over and we could do nothing with them. This season, the Nets do have the Hawks number. How many wins do they have? Three are against Atlanta.
