Some explanation-Harvey Pollack is the long-time director of statistical information for the 76ers. I had never heard of him, but apparently, in NBA circles, he's pretty well known. There's a lot of players and former players whom he has befriended, including, among them, Bill Walton.

He recently celebrated his 87th birthday. Bill Walton, probably under the influence of back medication (Yeah, that's what we'll call it) called and left him this voice message. I think it's classic.

He didn't sound high at all, imo. I don't think he gets high a lot. it's not like he's Willie Nelson. He has various jobs that demand quite a bit. He just sounded like he was being silly with someone who he values highly in the world. Just typical Bill.
