People are always crying about we didn't get Roy.

Aside from the fact that Roy had a deal in place with the Blazers...

and

He snubbed us twice.

The landmine is that Roy is about to shut it down for the season due to injury.

This guy is starting to make Camby look like unbreakable.

where did you hear this? i thought roy was going to play tonight. if he's shut down, the camby trade became pointless.

You are insane. First off, Roy practiced today. Secondly, to call Roy a landmine is asinine. He played in 55 games in 06, 74 in 07, 78 in 08, and has played in 41 thus far this season and there are already reports that he will NOT shut it down and the team will take it slow with him.

My link 1

Roughly an hour before tipoff, Roy walked off the Rose Garden floor after warming up and said he would not play Tuesday night. But 30 minutes later, after a nudge from coach Nate McMillan, Roy decided to give it a go for the first time in 12 games. It did not go well. Roy could play only 15 rusty minutes before he had to tell McMillan he was done for the night. Roy said he thought about his tender hamstring during every move he made on the court and he felt a constant twinge. He finished with four points, two steals and one assist, and made just 2 of 7 field goals.

Of course, Brandon is no doctor (and says he hasn’t discussed shutting it down for the year with coaches and team trainers), and his self-diagnosis isn’t the final call on his season.

However, Roy is the one dealing with the pain, and from the sound of things on Brandon’s end, Blazers fans should probably not hold their breath for a happy ending.

Another source.

After returning to action in Tuesday night’s game against the Clippers, Portland’s Brandon Roy has realized that an injury to his right hamstring which he sustained last month may be much worse than expected. Only scoring four points in fifteen minutes of play, Roy is doubtful for upcoming games and may in fact miss the rest of the season.

Tuesday night was the first time Roy has played this month, including the All-Star game, and Roy himself has stated that if the current pain in his leg continues the whole season, then he doesn’t “really have a shot at playing.” Coming hot off of a trade in which the Trail Blazers acquired Marcus Camby from the Clippers, Portland’s postseason chances are once again looking grim.

BK hinted about a player who had injury problems coming into the draft.

So far, Roy has had a heel injury and several hamstring problems.

And even with those injuries he has played 55, 74 and 78 over the past 3 seasons. Your point has no merit.

Good thing we dodge a landmine on drafting one of the top 10 players at the league who can play 3 different positions. That would have brought this organization to its knees.
