hawks21
Bibby has 283 assists for the year. Josh has 305 assists for the year. This is a very unusual stat for a power forward nearly leading a NBA team in assists. Joe leads the team, barely over Josh with 333 assists (including tonight's Orlando game). Joker
Bibby doesn't play much nowadays for this to be a big deal.
HawksFan87
uhmmm it is a very big deal, that ur pf is basically a better passer than ur PG sad.. But I won't rag on Michael tonight he hit some big shots..
hawks21
Bibby doesn't play much nowadays for this to be a big deal. His playing time has declined, but he is still averages 28 minutes a game, and played nearly 31 minutes against Orlando. We see an older Jason Kidd and Steve Nash still putting up solid assist numbers, but it seems Bibby is more of our three-point specialist than our point guard. Thats great but its not that big of a deal considering we have 4 guys with over 200 assists and could possibly have 5 by the end of the year .This team feeds off each other instead of just one guy . High5
Not all teams go with a traditional PG. Derek Fisher has less assists than Kobe, Artest, Odom, and Gasol.

If you look at assist, then you might as well like at turnovers since one negates the other, which will put Bibby on top.
Premium Member mrhonline Posted March 25, 2010 Premium Member Report Share Posted March 25, 2010 Need to look at AST% (or assist rate). Bibby and Teague lead the team. Hoopdata has some interesting stats, like AST+, which factors in the value of the converted shot. The also break down assists by location of converted shot, which shows just how good Josh is at finding someone at the rim.
