We aren't getting anything for JJ - nor do we want to. We already drafted his replacement and got his salary for free thanks to Sund's maneuvering.

Dude, if JJ leaves and we renounce our rights to Chillz then all we got is $7 mill to sign a player.

Of course we would have the $5.5 mill MLE but that cannot be combined with the $7 mill of cap space.

I doubt Gay is signing for $7 mill....dont you ?

yes i agree but Rudy gay can also replace Marvin Williams to. But for some reason i want to trade Joe Johnson in a sign and trade for a big man because i really want to see our young ins start and do really good this year.But if Joe stayed i would hope he moves most of his minutes to the small forward position to let Jordan Crawford develop.

Maybe if you read the board instead of creating all of thes crap threads you would actually learn something about the free agency and the Hawks cap situation, as well as knowing the difference in RFA and UFA.
