TRUATLFAN
[url=http://www.realgm.com/src_playerfile.php?playerid=110http://www.realgm.com/src_playerfile.php?playerid=110'>]http://www.realgm.com/src_playerfile.php?playerid=110 has been going down since the 99-00 season. Thinking back on his effort getting down the court and hussle on D. I wonder if he wants to be here or if his knees are worse than we have been told. I know the back injury hurt his last season stats and the transition to the Hawks could have been the reason for the year before. But I just haven't seen the player that I thought we had when we got him. On the positive note: His Freethrow percentage is going up. I think he is a Karl Malone look a like. (He never got a ring)
Admin chillzatl Posted September 25, 2003 Admin Report Share Posted September 25, 2003 for one, he's had a few more people around him to do some scoring than he had in memphis. JT, Grob, etc. He didn't have that kind of firepower around him up there. Naturally he's not going to have the stats he had when he's the only guy taking the shots. But his back has been the only real nagging injury. He's been dealing with it for two years now. That said, it hasn't hurt his stats much at all. He still commands a double team. Premium Member Diesel Posted September 25, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted September 25, 2003 Yeah, I got to agree here. His back and changing personnell and changing systems have all kind of effects on his numbers. But If he is made the focus of the offense and if he is given the right kind of talent around him, I think he can be as effective as any star PF save Duncan/KG.
