Peachtree Hoops: Hawks Encourage Fans To Arrive Early For Game 3 Due To Added Security

Due to added security measures at Philips Arena, the Hawks are asking fans to arrive early for the remainder of the home playoff schedule and to expect slight delays when entering the arena. 

With enhanced security measures in place at Philips Arena for the remainder of the NBA Playoffs, fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early to both contests to ensure a smooth and timely entry into the building. All guests will be screened via wand metal detectors, in addition to standard bag search procedures. Doors will open 90 minutes prior to both games.

Game 3 on Friday has a 7 p.m. start time which means that the gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Game 4 on Sunday is scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m. therefore the gates will open up at 6:30 p.m.

The added security is the result of an NBA directive in the wake of the assassination of Osama bin Laden by U.S. forces in Pakistan.
