Game 4 - Tuesday June 14

Atlanta Dream 79, New York Liberty 58

Atlanta broke through and captured its first win of the season avenging an opening day loss to the New York Liberty in the process. It was the Dream's best defensive performance of the season as they held New York to just 58 points and just 36 percent shooting. Angel McCoughtry led the way with 18 points while Erika de Souza and Sancho Lyttle added 12 and 10 each.

Game 5 - Friday June 17

Minnesota Lynx 96, Atlanta Dream 85

Atlanta opened a home and home series with the Minnesota Lynx on Friday dropping the opener 96-85. The Lynx scored 28 points off of 18 Dream turnovers. Angel McCoughtry had her best scoring night of the young season with 27 points but Atlanta couldn't get enough stops defensively to give themselves a chance. Seimone Augustus scored 25 points for the Lynx.

Game 6 - Sunday June 19

Minnesota Lynx 77, Atlanta Dream 64

The Lynx finished off the home and home sweep of Atlanta with a 77-64 victory over the Dream at Philips Arena. The loss drops Atlanta to 1-5 on the season, 0-3 at Philips Arena, and dead last in the Eastern Conference. Minnesota ran off to a 26-10 opening quarter lead and never looked back. Lindsey Harding led the way for Atlanta with 14 points. The Dream only shot 30 percent from the floor in the game. Seimone Augustus scored a game-high 19 points for the Lynx.

Roster News

All-Star forward Sancho Lyttle has temporarily left the Dream to be a part of the Spanish National team. She will be competing in the Eurobasket Women 2011 tournament which is an Olympic qualifying tournament. Lyttle missed both Minnesota games and is expected to be out for six games total. Atlanta signed center Courtney Paris to a contract to replace Lyttle on the roster. The former Oklahoma star had been in training camp with Los Angeles before being cut prior to the season.
