Peachtree Hoops: Atlanta Hawks Preseason Schedule Announced (Just In Case)

Normally this would be a time for excitement, but given the circumstances this year it doesn't have quite the same zeal. Nevertheless, the Atlanta Hawks released their preseason schedule for the upcoming 2011-12 season and for the time being lets just hope that a miracle happens and they actually play these games.

Oct 10	Vs. Detroit Pistons	Philips Arena	7:30 p.m.
Oct 12	@ Los Angeles Lakers	Citizens Business Bank Arena Ontario Canada	10:00 p.m.
Oct 13	@ Los Angeles Clippers	Staples Center	10:30 p.m.
Oct 15	@ Los Angeles Lakers	Staples Center	10:00 p.m.
Oct 18	Vs Indiana Pacers	Philips Arena	7:30 p.m.
Oct 20	Vs New Orleans Hornets	Philips Arena	7:30 p.m.
Oct 26	@ Dallas Mavericks	American Airlines Arena	8:30 p.m.

Obviously the first thing that jumps out at you is a West coast trip in the preseason. One positive to this is that you know anything involving the Lakers will be heavily advertised and with new Hawks ownership in place that will be important as they attempt to change the image of this team. Now if only we could take care of this lockout ..........
