Frank Isola of the New York Daily News reports that Atlanta Hawks free agent guard Jamal Crawford has parted ways with Goodwin Sports Management. Aaron and Eric Goodwin are based out of Seattle and have been able to lock down much of the talent in the Pacific Northwest and are currently Kevin Durant's agents.

Isola highlights a comment he made in November saying that he wouldn't mind returning to the Knicks if he was unable to work out an extension in Atlanta. Isola also points out that it would likely take a sign-and-trade deal with the Hawks to get Crawford to New York which he calls unlikely. If not the Knicks then the Nets are also a possibility to land Crawford's services next season according to Isola.

There were no reasons given for Crawford and the Goodwins parting ways. It was widely known that Crawford wanted an extension badly last season under the old CBA rules but that was something that the Hawks clearly weren't willing to do. Atlanta instead chose to lock up All-Star big man Al Horford before he could become a restricted free agent. Atlanta chose not to use Crawford and his expiring contract as a trade chip at the trading deadline and instead let his contract expire at the end of the season.

The emergence of Jeff Teague in the playoffs and Crawford's likely high salary demands make it unlikely that the free agent guard will return to Atlanta next season.
