ATL_BALLER
Just watched Grantland's new video piece on soliciting fans (crowdsourcing) for draft intel: http://grantland.com/features/sacramento-kings-2014-nba-draft-crowdsourcing/ After all the debate and data-driven analysis presented to him, D'Allesandro came to a simple conclusion: you can always find serviceable role players on the free agent market. The draft is your chance to swing for the fences. For that reason, I'm hoping for a Lavine or another high-upside talent vs. the Hoods' and Harris'.
Premium Member sturt Posted June 25, 2014 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 25, 2014 If there weren't a salary cap, that may be a valid approach. But you can't be spending free agent dollars for your starters to cover up for your draft misses.

DrReality
It's a basic truth whether he has made good decisions or not. A big difference with the Spurs is once you have the core talent you can draft guys and let them develop rather than expecting them to contribute right away
