Jose Calderon

Plays for the Knicks now. Is clearly a bad fit for the triangle.

Jeff Teague, a very good fit for the triangle.

Jose Calderon is great at PnR creating and shooting 3 pointers.

Jeff is great at slashing, good at scoring, and is freakishly athletic for a PG.

Jeff is bad at creating for others outside of slashing and PnR defense.

Calderon is bad at man defense and creating his own offense.

Umm.... Umm... Umm...

Bebe PnR specialist

Horf PnR and PnP specialist

Payne PnP and PnR specialist

Patterson PnR specialist

Put the crackpipe down!!!  Put it down.

The Knicks made the trade to get Calderon.  They need shooters in NY.  They may not play the triangle but they will have a guy there who shoots better from 3 than he does from 2.  Moreover, DFish has to love his efficiency.  He doesn't get a lot of assists but no turnovers either.

They may not run the triangle??? LOL, where have you been.

I don't see the point of having Jeff. Every one our picks tend to be agile and main effective at the PnR. Why have a PG who isn't good at starting and getting the mins. Jeff is replaceable breh. I know you think he's Westbrook but he's nothing special for us, seeing our personnel he makes less sense each year.

In 2011- he made sense, Bibby was done.

2012- he made sense, we had Smoove and needed a slasher.

2013- he made less sense, we needed a slasher but we needed a creator even more.

2014- he really doesn't make sense, yes, we still need a slasher but the need for a creator is huge and Sap proved he can create his own offense to a degree which lower the need for a slasher.

Teague is here to stay and he is about to ball out next year.  Get ready, because it's coming.

No, he's not. He really isn't. He is who he is. A good talent, solid PG.

I rather a decent talent who is a good true PG especially looking at our personnel.

He made a lot of sense in the playoffs when we were busting Indy's ass and they had to put their best defender on him.

I fail to see your logic here.

The Hawks have floor spacers and 1 guys who can get to the rim at will. That guy is Jeff Teague. Calderon would be an awful fit here without Teague. We need an attacking PG, like Tony Parker, to make this offensive system hum. Calderon is the opposite of that.

This is just as bad a comparing Fizer to Payne. Those guys are polar opposites.

This ... I hope.

The ghosts of Jose Calderon will never die on this site.

Seriously, I used to be v. Calderon. I hated the idea of bring in someone as terrible at creating his own offense when you had Smoove on the prowl. Now, I want Calderon. The system create shots and having a PG who can run the PnR will turn our efficiency to an elite level.

Tony Parker can create for others.

Jeff can't.

Atlanta needs a creator.

I do agree, Atlanta needs a slasher too but Atlanta seriously needs a creator. Your picks have been PnR's specialist. Your best player is a PnR, PnP specialist. Build around Horford for once.

No matter what, until we get the perfect PG for us, hopefully Dennis in the future. We are going to be missing something. Calderon can't create for himself, Jeff is meh at creating for others.

What do you value more? Jeff or the personnel.

Well said.  Just Supes trying to catch a rise off the board after his morning smoke.  Nothing to see here.  No thought just more Teague hate.

George Hill?!? Come on Diesel, where was this in Dec, Feb, Mar, and Apr.

He disappears for months at a time. He's struggles running the offense. He struggles creating for others. What's the point of keeping him when a majority of our personnel are PnR/PnP or PnR specialists.

Are you more worried about the time he was lost than the fact that he showed up when we needed him??

Taking my cues from Ferry and Company, I think they like the fact that he did show up.  His late March and April pushed us into the playoffs and his playoff play has made him the face of the team.  YES  FACE OF THE DAMN TEAM.  Even though Sap got the statue and Horf is called BAWSE... TEAGUE is our FACE to the League!!!!!

Exactly.  Teague showed a lot towards the end of the season last year.  He's good to go as long as he can be a bit more consistent and I'm confident that he will be next year.  He had a new coach, new system, new players and a constant changing lineup due to injuries last season.  Teague is about to take his game to the next level next year.

It's clear you guys value Jeff over the team. Hopefully Ferry will trade Jeff sooner than later for a PG who can create for others regardless of what you guys think.

The crack smoke must be thick if you think that NY is giving up Calderon.

Moreover,  Jeff is the key to what we do as a team.

dahell2.png They are running the triangle.

True PG's and the triangle offense is like a complete negative

Now that's just stupid. You are going overboard with this nonsense.

Calderon does not fit what we do just like Jeff does not fit the triangle.

Seems as if you can't just get over the fact that your predictions for Dennis running Teague off at the start of last season never came true.

AND I am a fan of Dennis.
