I guess it's atlanta statue day.    Interesting article on who owns the Aaron statue.   I've wanted a Hank Aaron statue at centennial park forever.   His contributions to Atlanta and race relations in the south are immeasurable and he deserves to be recognized outside of baseball.   I never knew that the stinkin' Braves didn't even pay for the statue to the greatest Atlanta ball player ever.   No doubt the statue should just be moved to centennial park and the Braves can create a new Aaron statue for Cobb field.  If they were smart they'd make one that is much larger and create a real draw.  

 

The Braves insistence that they own this statue when that is more than unclear at this point is just another slap in the face to Atlanta.
