Playmaker0017
Hots, I see your point, and while it IS valid, it only goes to prove that Van Horn didn't exactly look like Carter out there. He was 5-6 or 6-7 shooting. The majority of them were jumpshots. So, how can a guy that only got off 5 shots be considered to be "taking it to the hole"? Play. Weez
add into that a) did he only take it to the hole once? how many times did this happen? b) how do you guard a "jumpshooter" such as KVH? By guarding him close, getting a hand in his face...which inevitably leaves you most vunerable to *gasp* having him drive around you. that's the logistics of basketball. Thigns do happen once or twice...and by your same reasoning, using this "single example," you could slam every single player in the association and say no one can play D...(and no, I'm not trying to say that Reef is a great defensive player, but you fail to use any reasoning in your blind hatred/arguments). Plainview1981
Oh cmon....Van Horn had his way with even Boris. He got where ever he wanted to get on the floor. I'm just stating that they played poor defense on him and allowed him to get anywhere he wanted to. He was 5-6 or 6-7 shooting. The majority of them were jumpshots. So, how can a guy that only got off 5 shots be considered to be "taking it to the hole"? Well, considering his shooting percentage it's simple to say he just didn't shoot enough. It isn;t like the team stopped him from shooting. He's one of those players that just becomes unaggressive on offense out of nowhere. Anyway, I make my point. If you want to agree with it or not that is up to you. Oh and hey Weez....good defensive players can react quick. You put a Ron Artest/Bruce Bowen in that situation and they;ll likely recover enough not to give up baskets inside. But your right in that a few shots doesn't overcome a good proformance on offense. Playmaker0017
Hots, Good defensive players? You named two of the best in the league, that isn't good but exceptional. Now, if you want to say that Reef played like a wuss on Williamson last night, I would agree. He was matched up one-on-one with Corliss and failed. Both sides of Reef's game were pretty lackluster. Play.
