Guest
ESPN just posted that Keon Clark is now an unrestricted free-agent. Something struck me while reading this: Olowokandi: Born April 3, 1975. 3 years in the league (287 games played) 7'0, 270lbs. Last year: 11.1 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 1.81 bpg Keon Clark: Born April 16, 1975. 271 games played. 6'11, 220 lbs. Last year: 11.3 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.51 bpg (all averages were higher in the playoffs). Considering that Keon played behind Hakeem a lot, and Antonio Davis as well...I think Keon could be a steal for someone this summer. While I doubt the Raps would do this deal due to their desire to stay under the cap (which they're already at), here's a rarity for me, a trade idea: SNT: Nazr and Toni for Keon and Alvin Williams Keon doesn't want to be there. Fine. Toni gives them some more vet experience and someone who will come off the books soon. They get a C to replace the quickly deteriorating Hakeem and get rid of Alvin Williams, a 6-5 pg with a bad contract. It'd allow us to play JT at the 2 if we want (not sure if I want this or not) and give us more flexibility, both in the front court and back court. thoughts? Traceman
likely wouldn't do the deal because of their cap situation. If they were willing to pay the luxury tax, their best bet would be to just resign Clark.
