TRADE ACCEPTED

Atlanta may have to give up a draft pick or two, maybe one future first each to Memphis and Houston to make this deal happen. We get the SF that completes our starting 5 and a solid SF-PF tweener that will contribute much more than Hendu does. We lose JV, which I hate, plus DG but we get rid of Hendu and get that SF we desperately need. Memphis is looking to draft Dunleavy so they wont have a need for Battier, unless they trade Dickerson and move Battier to SG, but I dont think he is athletic enough to play there. Houston gets Henderson to give them points and rebounds off the bench. Essentially they do it to shave 2 years off of a high paying contract by getting Hendu instead of Mo Taylor. I am sure we would have to include a draft pick to at least Houston to make this happen and probably Memphis as well, but to me it would be worth it. Thoughts?

I don't want to loose J. Vaughn. I do want Battier.

Dion Glover wants out of Atlanta and

I still think he has the ability to be a very good NBA player.

Give him his freedom. We really shouldn't try to hold on to

players who don't want to be here.

Glover & Vaughn and ---- for Battier? Yep.

Taylor for Henderson - Hawks get a still longer contract? I really don't know

about that one. When healthy, Hendu is a much better than average player.

Dolfan23, at least you didn't trade off our starting center for some lesser player.

Dion doesn't want out of Atlanta, no matter what Curtis Bunn was shoveling last season.

Dion just wants to play, and he knows he has things to work on.

He told Trace and myself that he still sees JT, himself, and DJ on the floor at the same time, and that's what he is working to try and accomplish....

At the same time, I don't think the team is interested in that alignment, and is likely the reason Dion is the preferred sweetener in the trade talks Pete is likely conducting...

Of course I woudl do the trade to get Battier but

I don't think Memphis would.Battier is a lotto pick

and Dion is a 20th pick and Vaughn could be had

as a FA.

Nice idea though

Taylor os worse than Hendu...He has no fundamental and

has less worth ethic than Hendu does.

Mo has 2 years less experience than Hendu and he has a career average of about 15 pts 5 brds.......that isnt bad IMO. His drawbacks are that he is coming off a bad injury and he has 5 years remaining on a high paying contract. However, this guy is a starting caliber SF-PF in this league.......a sorta poor mans SAR if you will. I think because of the negatives with him, its possible we could get him with Hendu/pick(s)

I proposed this trade to RealGM on the Memphis and Houston boards. Houston was opposed on their side of the trade....so far anyways. The biggest thing has been the Memphis side. So, I changed the deal to give them Nazr/future pick instead of JV and took Long/2nd this year or future first. I am still waiting to hear on that deal. The Grizz just dont have the salaries that we need to make a good deal though.

Isn't Taylor always out of shape? He doesn't board well

at all for a PF either and I seriousally doubt he is fast

enough to be a starting SF in the NBA.

I think West would like Nazr alot and is better than one

year fluke Ike Austin.I remember when teams were actually

fighting over this guy when he signed with the Clippers.

That was funny stuff.
