Brent Barry is the guy we need

I have always liked him. He does everything well. I have wanted him on our team for a long time now and hearing Diesel bring up his name has made me think we should go balls to the wall to get him. Here is an overview of Barry from last year.

Atlanta trades: SF Dion Glover (8.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.5 apg in 21.0 minutes)

PF Chris Crawford (7.6 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 0.7 apg in 18.7 minutes)

Atlanta receives: SG Brent Barry (14.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 5.3 apg in 37.5 minutes)

Change in team outlook: -2.1 ppg, -1.3 rpg, and +3.1 apg.

Seattle trades: SG Brent Barry (14.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 5.3 apg in 37.5 minutes)

Seattle receives: SF Dion Glover (8.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.5 apg in 55 games)

PF Chris Crawford (7.6 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 0.7 apg in 7 games)

Change in team outlook: +2.1 ppg, +1.3 rpg, and -3.1 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Atlanta and Seattle being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Atlanta and Seattle had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

That leaves us with:

JT/DD/Email

Barry/DJ

Big Dog/Ira(re-signed)

SAR/Hendu

Theo/Nazr/Willis(fa)

I could live with that lineup for sure. DJ would be the first man off the bench for the most part so he would still get 20-25 mpg. Barry is the perfect compliment to our lineup.
