Admin
I have always liked him. He does everything well. I have wanted him on our team for a long time now and hearing Diesel bring up his name has made me think we should go balls to the wall to get him. Here is an overview of Barry from last year. In reply to: Brent Barry SG 6'6" 200 14.4 ppg 5.4 rpg 5.3 apg 51% fg percentage 42% 3pt fg percentage Ranks #10 in the NBA in Field-Goal Percentage(0.508) Ranks #13 in the NBA in Three-Point Field-Goal Percentage(0.424) Ranks #13 in the NBA in Steals Per Game(1.81) Ranks #19 in the NBA in Minutes Played(3040.0) Ranks #8 in the NBA in Three-Point Field Goals Made(164.0) Ranks #11 in the NBA in Three-Point Field Goal Attempts(387.0) Ranks #10 in the NBA in Steals(147.0) Ranks #17 in the NBA in Steals Per Turnover(0.89) Ranks #17 in the NBA in Three-Point Field Goals Per 48 Minutes(2.59) What would you guys think about this deal? In reply to:Atlanta trades: SF Dion Glover (8.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.5 apg in 21.0 minutes) PF Chris Crawford (7.6 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 0.7 apg in 18.7 minutes) Atlanta receives: SG Brent Barry (14.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 5.3 apg in 37.5 minutes) Change in team outlook: -2.1 ppg, -1.3 rpg, and +3.1 apg. Seattle trades: SG Brent Barry (14.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 5.3 apg in 37.5 minutes) Seattle receives: SF Dion Glover (8.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.5 apg in 55 games) PF Chris Crawford (7.6 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 0.7 apg in 7 games) Change in team outlook: +2.1 ppg, +1.3 rpg, and -3.1 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Due to Atlanta and Seattle being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Atlanta and Seattle had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You have been assigned Trade ID number 717920 That leaves us with: JT/DD/Email Barry/DJ Big Dog/Ira(re-signed) SAR/Hendu Theo/Nazr/Willis(fa) I could live with that lineup for sure. DJ would be the first man off the bench for the most part so he would still get 20-25 mpg. Barry is the perfect compliment to our lineup.
TomahawkChop
I would do that deal without hesitation.. but I don't think Seattle needs Glover or Crawford. They got Mason who plays 2/3, Lewis who plays 3/4, and Radman who plays 3/4.
Traceman
I don't know if they would want the injury prone Crawford's long contract and Glover sort of duplicates what they already have in Mason but hey, if they would do it, so would I!
