I'll say it again...Steven Hunter

It looks like Phoenix has used the majority of their MLE on Raja Bell, which means they won't have enough $ to re-sign Steven Hunter unless he gives them a significant discount.

He has no offensive game, but he would be an excellent defensive sub at PF/C. He fits the BK mold - being defensive, long, and athletic. He's a *great* shot blocker, something the Hawks don't have except for Smith.

His minutes could double here in Atlanta. Why not offer him some of the bundles of cash? If you can't get Dalembert, this might be a good backup plan.

I wouldn't mind Hunter. I do think we should make an offer to Daly first and if that doesn't pan out, we can go after Hunter. I also wouldn't mind Jerome James or Gadz. I think they can be had somewhere in the 5 mill/year range.

The guy has potential and the size at 23 years old. I think itd be worst the chance on him just because hes really athletic

This guy has been about potential since he was first drafted by the Magic. He was unable to distinguish himself on the Suns who were without a true 5. He might be decent as a last resort type signing though undrafted FA's like Dwayne Jones or D'or Fisher might bring just as much to the table as Hunter but at a much cheaper price.

At least Jones kept his options open to return to school. With a good Senior year he might turn into a 1st round pick in a weaker draft. I still think we can find a Stephen Hunter type player at a cheaper price than Hunter if we are unable to sign one of the bigger named FA 5 spot players.
