Admin capstone21 Posted August 25, 2002 Admin Report Share Posted August 25, 2002 I wish the season would start now. There is nothing to talk about. I am sick of waiting. Bring it on...the year of the Dog.
Gray Mule
Hawk's fans, for the most part, find it boring this time of year. Almost everything that is going to happen between the end of the season and the beginning of the next has already happened. The draft is over and done. Summer league - over and a distant memory. Trades have been made and most of the free agents have been signed or know where they are likely to end up. A voluntary workout of the team members make big news because what else is there to talk about? Sigh! Then, along comes Diesel. He stirs. He prods. He makes statements to us here that we must think about. Some of the things make very little sense to some and they must jump in and defend their position on the topic. Diesel makes all of us stop and think. Could he be right? Could this really happen? If it did happen, what would be the consequences? Diesel takes a very boring time of the year and turns it into a few hours of real excitement. You may not agree with what he says, probably don't, but you must jump in and say your piece, defend your position on the matter and thus continue to stir things up. It makes for exciting reading for all of us. Thanks, Diesel. You make things interesting this time of year. Visit other team's board. Nothing is going on there, but here at Hawksquawk, we have Diesel, stirring, prodding and causing us to have to think. Gray Mule
Guest
While I think what Diesel has been saying lately has been alot of rubbish it attempts to keep the offseason from getting all the more boring.
Gray Mule
Whatever it is, it works! A good defense attorney will always try to convince everyone that his client is innocent, whether the client is guilty or not. A good D.A. tries to convince these same people that the client is a guilty rascal and deserves whatever punishment that is given them. When Diesel puts forth an idea, everyone jumps in to either defend what he says or try to prove him wrong. Check out the board for the past several weeks and you will find Diesel in the middle of most of the exciting discussions about the Hawks. Keeps us all on our toes and keeps our brains working, trying to figure out just where we stand. Again I say, good job Diesel! Gray Mule
