Chandler Stays in Chicago

Chandler has reportedly agreed to terms with the Chicago Bulls on a sis year deal.

I for one couldn't be happier. I am so glad we didn't get neither Daly or Chandler. Neither has shown anything except blocking and dunking. Both weigh about as much as Smoove, and neither can shoot a lick from anywhere including the free throw line.

Now hopefully we still have a shot at Curry.

I mean the guy is at wholesale price for the type of talent he has.

Alright BK lets get an offer on the table.

you question Chandler the gush over Curry? Calling Chandler only a two to three tool player is accurate...but then again, Curry IS THE EXACT SAME...but with a different set of tools.

At least Chandler's shown heart and desire to play. willingness to accept his role, be that as a starter or off the bench, and making the most of his minutes, staying in shape.

Curry...yeah. While he's got TUP, the fact that we're still questioning his on interest in realizing/ developing that says it all.

And no, I won't be 'more encouraged' on this next year if he signs only a one year tender (which for those that don't know, that means he CANNOT be traded this year, but becomes a urFA next offseason).

if you're going to call a spade a spade...fine. it's encouraged. but remember to call a heart a heart (insert pundit here!).

we could use chandler's defense, blocks, rebounds much more

we could be one of the best rebounding teams in the league if we had gotten daly/chandler

What does anyone see in Chandler other than dunks, rebounds, and blocks.

Has anyone ever thought that the reason why Curry has so few rebounds is the fact Chandler gets most of them.

Curry probably doesn't even go for them for the fact he pities Chandler and knows that is the only stat he'll ever see double figures in and lets him have them.

We don't know sh*t about Curry. The whole he's not motivated thing could just be he was simply tired out on the floor thanks to his condition.

Despite his condition he was still able to be his team's leading scorer.

Why are we talking about Curry and why he hasn't realized his potential. In the what 5 years Chandler has been in the league what has he done other than play hard.

Hell Ekezie played hard everynight.

In all seriousness what would Chandler bring to us other than blocking(smoove), dunking(smoove), and rebounding(chillz/smoove/jj/zaza/al).

The one thing we don't have is a guy who we can throw the ball down low to and expect a positive outcome everytime.

What do yall expect Chandler to play anyway when he weighs less than our sf?

How can anyone want a player who has star potential who settles for being a garbage player?

And how can any person actually agree with paying a garbage player 10 mil a year.

It just pisses me off that if most people on this board were given the option to have a top 5 center in the league or a hustler they would pick the hustler.

All b/c they have heard from someone that they have a bad attitude.

Please lets just wait until next season and see where Chandler and Daly are compared to Swift.

The Hawks gave up 101PPG last year.... Curry does nothing

to help that figure. He is a waste of money at 10 million

per year. I don't care who was on the team with Curry

last year... He isn't a good rebounder or defensive

player. Plain and simple.

While Chandler may be a good defender(against pfs), he is no better on offense than Collier.

Only teams like Detroit, SA, and PHX can get away with having minimal production from the center spot for the simple fact they score enough.

We don't score alot.

Lets not forget we got rid of Walker who was a 24 ppg guy, and we have no clue how consistent Chillz and Smoove will be.

We are not all of a sudden a great scoring team. Let's not get ourselves fooled.

Why want a guy who has not done anything to his game or body in the 5 years he's been here.

Chandler hasn't bulked up, hasn't learned to shoot, and hasn't gottn a offensive game to speak of.

Yet he has earned 10 mil?

The Hawks averaged 92PPG, and it's easier to get that

up than it is to get 101PPG given up down to around

95 or so. Detroit didn't score alot and won the title.

Just incase you didn't notice, three of the final 4

teams were really good defensive teams.

I expect JJ to average around 19PPg and surely the

young players will show some improvement.

Big men who don't rebound or play defense and only score

16PPG aren't worth the money. Chandler wouldn't normally

be worth the money.. But the Hawks badly need a 7 footer

that can rebound and block shots. That isn't what Curry

does.

How hard is to understand that the Hawks aren't winning

anything without some defense? Who do you expec that

to come from? Slow footed Childress? Josh Smith doesn't

play any defense......JJ isn't a shut down defensive

player... Al can't defend either. Lue is a bad defensive

player.

well if Curry actually is good at rebounding, but Chandler is SO good that he can actually limit Curry to 5rpg, then I want Chandler even more!

I'd love to have THAT good of a rebounder!

and notice, Curry isn't put on the floor in crunch time...his own team doesn't trust him when the game is on the line

well let's see

in march/april, when toine was gone and al was half-out, we averaged something like 97-98ppg (someone verify exact amount?)...

we've now added jj and salim and marvin and zaza to that mix...

our biggest problem in winning will be lack of defensive presence in the middle...

we solved our outside shooting problem...we now have 3 of the best outside shooters in the league in jj/salim/delk

we solved our crunch time problem with jj/salim

we now just need to solve our defensive center problem

chandler/daly would do that...curry would not

scoring 110ppg does not win championships
