Widely regarded as one of the weakest drafts in a long time and you want us to load up on three picks? And use 2 of them as starters? And use two of them along with Lundy as our SF rotation? @NBASupes, when you get on a roll, you really get going.

I wouldn’t even think about trading either one of you. #WLOC

I’ll try to stay nice, but Trade Trae and Clint for essentially Ausar and picks, none of whom are guaranteed to be as good or Trae and CC. Wiseman is trash and BB’s age doesn’t fit the timeline for this team after the trade. Then we sit around for three or four years as the picks cook before we even find out how they’ll turn out. No thank you.

2023-24 NBA Regular Season: Notes/Tidbits/Updates etc.

Imagine being a guy who showed up with hopes of getting drafted in the first round and falling out. Then you have to decide if you are even going to show up for day 2. Everyone already saw you there, do you go back so you hear your name called? Do you have to get a second suit to wear for TV? Or do you say screw the draft and take your ball and go home? -

That’s probably why CC is on the trade block. FO knows he’s gonna hit that 65+% at the FT line this season and don’t want to pay him his bonus money.

They won’t say rebuild. It’s a renovation.

You can’t rebuild without using the right retools.

I hope the Siakam deal fails to go through.

Well, I know for sure you’re at least half right. Dre had nothing to do with the Hawks win over OKC.- 197 replies

Honestly I bet he would find a more comfortable pocket to exist in with the Warriors and would have better, or at least more consistent, play there than here.

But does that make a difference? If the only games we won with Dre are against the crappiest teams that we should be beating anyway, how does that improve the narrative that Dre raises our play significantly? It doesn’t. Now, if the three games we won WITH Dre were actually against good teams like, for example, OKC, then Supes may have a point. Oh, wait…- 197 replies

I am really really interested in hearing about all the possibilities of what could have been, but you know you are going to get some serious grief from certain posters here questioning your “insider-ness” & accusing you of making ish up. Brace yourself, and Godspeed @Sothron.

Curious if any of the insiders have heard anything about the Hawks poking around Utah for Simone Fontecchio?

This is why I think this won’t be a “big trade.” Trading DJM would be big for us, but for it to be a big trade some other big piece would need to be heading our way. I’m willing to bet most fans here will be disappointed with the return.

We have a history of playing up or down to our competition. Maybe it will actually help us to play better teams?

Jalen Johnson may be better than De'Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish

I don’t mind gloating. Ain’t no shame in my game. I’d still take some variation of this line up. I am willing to bet Bertans would have faired better here with Trae as the stretch 4 we’ve needed. And by now he’d be the backup. Hell, folks are still talking about trading for Grant to this day, and I think Saric would be a plus here still, too. Rookie scale Obi isn’t bad for a backup. -

See those single “likes” on my JJ posts screenshots above @terrell? I am 99% sure they were both from you. You and I were both on that JJ train before I can recall seeing anyone else calling his number. IDK if I should be scared of this, or if everyone else should be. -

Don’t feel too bad. At least seven others felt the same as you (w/ zero “likes” on my proposal)!
