Has anyone ever noticed any other Hawks or other NBA players wearing Trae’s shoes? Is that even a thing? Do any players ever wear other player’s shoes if they don’t have their own line? -
You know one thing he brings that we’ve been lacking….availability. Dude missed like one game out of 120-something games. And that was due to the flu. Pretty remarkable for such a big body.

My feed via league pass kept freezing. Finally in the fourth I realized there was no point in trying to continue (probably like how the hawks were feeling at the same time). I was scared to come here and follow the thread, so imma just skip this one now.

He’s someone of interest to me, though IDK if I would want him at the draft range he will go. I feel like our experience with him would be like getting a younger, better version of Clint, including our problems with clogging the lane that we’ve had trouble resolving. There are a number of legit 7 footers in the draft that are intriguing. Sarr, Flip, Clingan, maybe even Kel’el Ware. I was hyped on Big Z at UK, but he’s come back to earth a little. I’d still love to grab him with a late first or second round pick. All kind of depends on where they’re drafted IMO. I think there’s good depth in this draft. No top end talent, but plenty of value throughout.

I believe Ressler will pay a team salary over the luxury tax one day. But I also think the first year he does it will be his last. Build up team value before selling it off (and before he has to pay any penalty).

Clips are good, but I don’t think they’re good enough to win it all. I doubt they’ll make it past Denver. I think the Wolves are better team, too, but there’s also a good chance Minny shits the bed come playoff time. But IDK. I haven’t seen them with Zubiac, so maybe he’s enough to make the difference.

AJ for Okoro (or Grimes) is a move that actually tracks. Delon, too. For as much that’s been said about the FO valuing/wanting to upgrade defense and toughness, it never ever made any sense to me that they wanted Austin Reaves in exchange for DJ.

I’d be happy with this. I’d question how well AJ could thrive under Thibs, but I honestly hope he gets his stroke back on track wherever he goes.

Watching Trae working this out, often he’s giving it up to DJ. AND THAT’S EXACTLY WHY WE GOT DJ HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE! It’s great to see it actually working out like I think they were thinking it would when they traded for DJ. The Hawks just didn’t have an answer for it against Miami, and now they do and they’re actually doing it! JJ’s emergence as a reliable ball handler/distributor has really helped significantly too.

Shout out to Trae putting in the work to get Kuminga to foul out in the fourth. I knew that would be big if they went into OT, and GS definitely missed him.
