  1. Why's this stuff always happen to the class guys... Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, Elton Brand.... I think he'll be ok though. He's the kind of guy that will work his ass off in rehab, and while he might never get back to the 25-10 he used to be, I'll be he'll get close.
  2. I'd much rather keep AJ than Lue or Speedy. AJ is the only true floor general out of the group, and will be a perfect mentor for Acie. Lue would fit in well with CLE. he's a real good shooter, and with Lebron dominating the ball so much, they don't really need a true point guard.
  3. Quote: I'll leave a bag of flaming crap on Stern's doorstep, ring the doorbell, and run away. Is that a good start? It can't hurt... I like the email idea, too... I think we should find a way to get lil' jon, usher, and ludacris to buy the team... they're all big fans, and they've got the money... failing that, we should all come together and buy the team.... how much would that cost?
  4. for me, its basically everyone in the 2000 draft class... Guys like kenyon martin, Stromile Swift, Darius Miles, Marcus Fizer... All of those guys could have been stars in this league, but none of them panned out... geez, 2000 has got to be the worst class ever...
  5. I actually kind of agree with you. Al's gonna be great. I mean, he'd have been the 1st pick, if not for Oden and Durant. people dont seem to understand how good he is... He was the consensous 3rd best guy in this draft, but people talk about him like he's a scrub.... I see him being a 20-10 guy too...
  6. Juan Barea is a big time guy... My dad is a northeastern alum, and we both knew that he was gonna be a big time guy. I'd absolutely love to get him.
  7. I don't know... that Derrick Rose it looking like a monster. He's the reason Memphis is on top of the polls...
  8. Quote: Hi. I am letting you guys know this here, hoping that someone like Chad Ford won't leak the info since it's likely he doesn't come to this site. My sources are telling me we're actively pursuing players who can make the situation better. These "players" include any of the 400+ players in the league, free agents, and players who can make the team better. My sources say that they hope the Hawks win this year. Also, you have to believe me, since I was the same guy who mentioned all those possible trades and "green lights" even though none of that garbage happened. Also, I predicted Horford + Law (my sources told me) so you must believe me! Oh by the way, I'm more important than any of you. THanks. Steven A. ?!?!?!?!?
  9. Quote: Other examples of talented guys or with loads of 'potential' 1. Dermarr Johnson 2. Boris Diaw 3. Salim Stoudamire that's kind of unfair to compare Marvin to them. Demarr Johnson could have been great, but that accident ruined his career. Boris Diaw is a lazy tool with a bad attitude, and no work ethic. Salim... well, he's just a headcase... Marvin is none of those things. He's a good kid, and has a great work ethic... I think he'll be fine. If he puts up 15-16 a game, I think he'll be good. and as far as leadership goes, Law's a big time guy, and JJ is really starting to come into his his own as a leader.
  10. exactly. 22 billion dollars... dude could buy the NBA if he wanted...
  11. Quote: When I say his effect on Smoove, I mean that he's coming to be our PF. Where will Smoove play? Will we keep Smoove? Amare is a Center... He was on the all-NBA 1st team, listed as a C. Plus, the move to the east would make playing C easier.
  12. Quote: Nope, I don't want to trade out of the draft. I need to keep that sixteen pick, or maybe package it with someone to move up. Hello, sir. Philly here. I'd be willing to swing the 12 to you for the 16, for the right price.
  13. I'm really interested in Pruitt too. He's got a lot of good tools. Even though he's 6-4, he's still got the speed/agility of some of the smaller guys, and has some great handles. The knock on him is he's a shoot-first sort of guy. he's a good passer, but not a good playmaker. what I mean by that is that his passing mechanics are good, but he just doesn't see the court well enough to make full use of them. Overall, i think he'll be a decent starter in this league, maybe even more.
  14. The only untouchables for me (Philly) are Iggy and Louis Williams...
  15. Quote: I really think Alridge is enough because if Alridge was in the draft he would be 3rd player taken overall so its pretty much drafting him str8 up. I don't know about that. He was picked 2nd last year, but that draft had absolutely nothing up top. He'd be a mid to high-lotto pick this year, I think.
  16. That's awesome... He's not taking the criticism lying down. And I think he'll beat up on conley...
  17. Quote: My top 5 players by position PG: 1. Acie Law 2. Mike Conley Jr. 3. Aaron Brooks 4. Bobby Brown 5. Javaris Crittenion Are you kidding? Crit is a lottery lock, and potentially a top 10 pick, and you've got him under scrubs like aaron brooks and Bobby Brown? care to explain? on another note I actually agree with you about B-Wright. The kid's a beast on the inside. He'd be great for us at the 4. We'd probably have to send marvin somewhere, and grab a big, but whatever. its all good.
  18. Quote: the 3 PGs we are talking about are all better prospects at their position than Hawes is at Center. I think you're vastly underestimating Hawes. The kid's the real deal. He didnt get recognition, because he played on an awful team, but he's definately a baller. you don't see big guys with his offensive skills anymore, other than guys like duncan. And for those of you who say he's unathletic, take another look. he's no amare, but he can definately move.
  19. hehe... balls.... sorry... anywho, hands in, everyone. we need this so much...
  20. Very nice. It's good to see objective stuff about teams, as opposed to our usual pro-hawks banter. count me in
  21. jay bilas does that sooooo much. I hate that. I'd say ESPN is one of the worst. they always pump up the senior draft classes waaay too much. I remember last year, they had taequan dean in their mock 1st round... in april. wtf?
  22. he averaged 4 and 1 this year. he's basically trash, and no better than Lo. but at least Lo isn't a headcase...
  23. High Block, Dunk, and Rebounding, with foul tendency being like a million...
  24. Quote: Quote: SF: Marvin Williams: As bad as he's been, he's still gotta be the guy, otherwise BK looks like a fool. (In a perfect world, K-Durant will take this spot come summer) If we want that "perfect world" we've got to make it ourselves. W Amen, dude. The kid's too good to let foolish pride get in the way of getting him.
