  1. It doesn't hurt that they have a Hall of Fame coach, either.
  2. This is wishful thinking at its finest. There is no way to divine that the Kings would give up Bibby several weeks ago for what we gave up when several teams were in pursuit for his services. This is basically why it's easier to be an NBA GM on a message board than in real life.
  3. I would think it's questionable whether Kobe will play or not. He'll probably play a few token minutes tomorrow in the ASG, but I wouldn't be surprised if he sits out a few games afterward. I also would like to swing one more deal for a shooter, but looking at it realistically, who are we giving up?
  4. Quote: Why are we giving up Lue and Williams in this deal? It seems that Sacramento has been looking to deal Bibby for a while now and Lue is a part of our rotation. I don't like us giving up his sound decision making and points off of the bench LOL, did I just read that?
  5. Al has quickly become my favorite Hawk by far. I love the kid.
  6. LeBron has been taking over games in the 4th quarter all season. I can't really see how anyone can claim he doesn't have a flair for the dramatic.
  7. This is ridiculous. Joe turns the ball over 8 times and gets clowned repeatedly by Eric freaking Snow and this loss is on Marvin?
  8. Steve Nash is not the second best PG of all time.
  9. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. No matter how many times you post the same thing ad nauseum it will not change the fact that Marvin Williams is a Hawk and Chris Paul is a Hornet. It will also not diminish Marvin Williams' skills as a basketball player. I don't get it.
  10. Quote: Let's see Marvin play half that decent against Portland and in Phoenix. We all knew he'd be big in front of his people Way to give a guy props on a career night.
  11. Why he gets minutes over Shelden is a total mystery to me.
  12. Quote: How about Chillz for Miller? That would be a perfect fit. Miller's one of the most underrated players in the league, IMO. I love Childress, but getting a shooter like that would really open up this offense and allow Joe to not have to log in so many minutes each night.
  13. It just didn't happen today. They had opportunities in the 4th but couldn't get over the hump. On the bright side, they never gave up, so I can't get too down on them.
  14. Also, remember Wade only signed a 3 year extension. If they don't make some moves and get considerably better next year, Wade will be demanding a trade by the end of '09, maybe sooner.
  15. Quote: Quote: Did you see how Hard Smoove hugged Chillz after Chillz hit the putback?? Did you see how Woodson assaulted Mario West after he drained both Free Throws? Woodson gave Mario a thanks for saving my Job hug and pat!! I will admit that I teared up bit when they showed Woody giving Mario the hug. I don't think it was anything like 'thanks for saving my job,' more like a sincere pride in a real underdog. It's kinda hard not to love our Rudy.
  16. He just looks a lot more hesitant and unsure of himself than the guy we saw at the beginning of the season. I think the injury was a huge setback, plus the shooting slump has him reluctant to shoot. Luckily, AJ's giving him cover to go through this rough patch, which basically all rookies eventually go through. As far as Young goes, I was really impressed with him, but PG is not what I'd call him.
  17. Shelden would be a nice late first round pick, but it pains me think how good this team would be with Roy as a 6th man.
  18. Really, the only pick I think BK deserves to be criticised for is Shelden over Roy. Other than that, he's managed to get a good player every year in the draft, which is nothing short of astonishing compared to the previous GM's draft record.
  19. I don't think at this point in their careers anyone is questioning whether Paul is the more accomplished pro and would've been a better fit for the team. But there are too many ifs involved here. If we had drafed Paul, would Knight have pursued Joe as strongly as he did? Considering he originally brought him in to play point with Smith, Marvin and Chill on the court at the same time, I don't think that's a given. The fact is if every GM made the right move and the right pick at the right time, every team in the league would be the Spurs.
