So the All star starters will be annouced this thursday on TNT. And folks(non Hawks fans) seem to have him in as a reserve for the most part. But will the coaches put him in I assume starters in the east will be Wade/James/Rose/Howard/Melo and Rondo and Bosh are probably locks for 2 reserve spots. So is Smoove one of the other 5 reserve spots? Paul Pierce Josh Smith Joe Johnson Carlos Boozer Amare Stoudemire Danny Granger Roy Hibbert Someone from the 76ers John Wall Ryan Anderson Smooves numbers are down cause we blew out a couple of teams and didnt really need him offensively. His numbers will get back up in this homestand. So out this group I just listed will Smoove make the team?

I think the all star reserves is announced next week. I'm gonna need Josh Smith to get his average up back to 16+ before then if he does he should make it. COME ONE JOSH.

This is a very important game for Josh. Everybody is saying that Josh Smith has now become the best player on this team. Which I agree. Like the TNT crew said the Hawks are only gonna go as far as Josh Smith take them. Your on National TV(ESPN) going against a good team in The Blazers and a All Star Lamarcus Aldridge. They Hawks may survive the rest of January but they are SCREWED after that. Unless we somehow get Bogut without giving up Smith or Johnson we are done. Hope im wrong.

Yes it was a success. We got him at pick #17. Josh is a guaranteed 16 points and 8 rebounds on any CONTENDING team such as the Lakers, Bulls and Thunder and would be a rock solid THIRD option. Unfortunately we want him to drop 24 points a night like he is Wilkins which he is not. Josh is a energy player. He is at his best when he plays with energy. He want look pretty and lots of night but if he plays with energy on both ends is when he is at his best.

Barkley made a lot of valid points. We got very good role players(Josh, Joe and Al) who would be BETTER if they played with a superstar. We are a jump shooting team and we have poor half court offense. We have to make a trade that involves at least one of out core players. With exception of last year Josh ALWAYS start off the season sucking scoring wise. Don't know why.

Also, Howard has admitted that he was upset with with the Magic for trading away his friends(Courtney Lee, Rashard Lewis, Battie) so why would he be happy coming to ATL when you trade away his BEST DAMN FRIEND for him? Makes no sense. This isn't like the 1990's when players was more competitive and wanted to beat each other. Players want to play with each other. Thats 1 of the reasons why Lebron and Bosh went to Miami and Carmelo wanted to go to NY. My only thing is I wouldnt include Joe.

Rose, Wade, James, Soudemire/Melo, Howard Rondo, Boozer, Stoudemire/Melo, Granger, Bosh, Joe Thats leaves 1 spot(possibly 2 if we are not buying Boozer). NO WAY IN HELL does Any other Celtic make it unless that team starts ballin like crazy again. Thats leaves Smith, Horford & Deng. Kinda Tough. IMO no way Smith makes it unless he averaging 20. Not because he wouldn't deserve it but because I don't think the coaches like him.

No one was outstanding. Smith is gonna take jumpshots but i hope he plays smarter and know when shot is off. I have a feeling he will have a very good year. He lost 30 pounds so he will get more buckets on the Fastbreak. Marvin was solid. Horford was Horford. Joe looks strait & I hope he get his 3 point shooting back. Keith Benson is better than I expected. Zaza was active, Mcgrady was ehhh and Stackhouse was ehhh. Just a scrimmage though.

People put trades in the HOMECOURT forum because when most people come to this website they ONLY click in the HOMECOURT forum. It usually will get more views and responses. Why post a trade idea(as a new thread or in someone else thread) and get 4 responses when I could put that SAME post in the HOMECOURT and get at least double that number?If you want people to stop doing that then you have to find a way to get people to post the trade ideas in trade forum. Smith for Bynum will work. In ATL you can get away with ANYTHING and the fan base wont care or pay attention. This is why Chipper Jones can miss 40 or so games and the Braves not even ATTEMPT to trade him. This is why when Mike Vick was here he could be a below average/aight QUARTERBACK and people here wouldn't care. LA is the biggest market so smith will have an magnifying glass on him every practice, every game so he will be scared to launch a jumper over there cause the media which is 100X worse there and being cussed out by Kobe. He will thrive over there. Bynum will thrive over here cause of less pressure. and it FINALLY gives us a center. If we resign crawford we could put him at the starting 2 and joe at the 3 since he seems to be getting slow. Do we do the trade strait up or do we include kirk and they include Artest?

You either Trade Joe johnson and keep both smith and Horford OR trade smith or Horford. If we could get rid or joe, Don't resign Crawford(he is a BALL HOG) and get rid of Marvin SOMEHOW i woill be cool. Keep Zaza, Teague, Smith, Horford and you be set. If you can trade Smith or Horford for value DO IT but keep them 2 as well as teague and Zaza.
