  1. I love the way they play the game and they don’t have divas like Paul Pierce. A big reason I’m thankful for Snyder is I think we will see more of that style of basketball. Making the extra pass, good defense, etc.
  2. The tough thing with the Celtics is I hate the organization, but I actually like the team. I wish they were the Kings or something lol.
  3. Trae would have made Josh better for sure in many aspects if Josh was willing to play to his strengths. He is clearly the guy on the team and wouldn’t let Josh take over that role. My concern though is spacing. Josh would still probably try to become the three point shooter he was not to give Trae more room to operate. So it might wind up being a wash in the long run.
  4. I will say I love the current state of the NBA. A lot of solid, well coached teams but nobody that scares me. The Heat and Knicks in the semi finals lol, I’d love to take on either one of them in a 7 game series today. Let Snyder get his system fully in, upgrade some talent on this team, and let’s see what happens. We aren’t close to a championship as of today, but we aren’t far from making some serious noise in the playoffs.
  5. This is a long wait lol. Go Hawks! Thanks to everyone here posting updates and what not to get us ready. Don’t forget we beat the Heat, so we are 3-3 in the playoffs. Let’s keep pushing that .500 record in the right way.
  6. John is an enigma because of his leadership and things we don’t see on the court. Whatever happens, I’ll either miss the guy and actively root for his career or hope Quinn has a better plan for him if he stays. I think he is underutilized with what we run, but we aren’t changing our offense to make John Collins fit. Game 5 though, you see him step up and I could tell it was a “I’m not ending my Hawks career in Boston” moment.
  7. Yeah, but he has the lowest FG% of everyone on that list .
  8. Trae needs to grow up, but the imagination of trading him and becoming a championship team with the return is far fetched. I’d listen for offers, but you aren’t getting one that makes us better.
  9. I’d hate to lose AJ, but you have to give to get.
  10. If Brooklyn blows it up again, I’d like to see if we can get Cameron Johnson who seems to move well and shoots 40% plus from three. I’ll let the more knowledgeable folks around here point out all his flaws. That shooting would be nice though.
  11. Some of their intelligent fans on realgm were talking about a Trae for RJ Barrett trade and having Trae run their second unit lol.
  12. I don’t get into the arguments much, but I like Dre. Inconsistent as hell, but I blame coaching. I think a lot of us see the same thing you do. All of us just want him to be more consistent..but doing it in big games helps him as a player. He’s had his moments..
  13. You know I’ll never hate your takes. Sometimes harsh, but you call out the good when you see it.
  14. Let’s go! Nique sitting this one out I guess lol.
  15. Odd thing is that he said he was going to take some time after the season to evaluate his relationship with the Raptors. I kind of assumed that it was going to become a similar situation with Snyder and Utah last year where they just part ways mutually. When I heard he was fired I thought I was just imagining that, but nope, it is almost as if they wanted to break ties before he could. https://www.capjournal.com/arena/fadeaway_world/nick-nurse-says-he-will-take-a-few-weeks-after-the-season-to-evaluate-his/article_f32916fd-e2e7-5e15-9a7e-589e0c817ee8.html
  16. I wish this forum could find something we all agree to hate and bash on it together. SquawkBonding and SquawkBuilding.
  17. Especially that wide open dribble rhythm shot he just tried. Get him in the corner and in the flow and you might see it go in.
  18. These turnovers always lead to points too. Get it together my man.
  19. Trae is asked to do a lot, I’m on the same page as a lot of y’all with his turnovers. We need him to be a playmaker and I can live with the outcome assuming he isn’t reckless with the ball. His shooting has to improve though. A lot of it is, to me, forcing his shot. When he is at his best he lets the game come to him. I remember early in his career he’d have 5 assists in the first quarter and then take over offensively later. So whatever it is, I hope he focuses on shot selection and improving his shot this off-season. He is still very young, so it’s not out of the realm that he can improve.
  20. Closer than the final score was. It was a good game until late in the third. Brooklyn is scrappy and has some shooters/good ball movement.
  21. Also, the way the threes come. We move the ball for an open look and miss it. We play defense, get some deflections, and Marcus Smart grabs it and hits a fade away three in the corner lol. They got some lucky ones, but when you are used to making them that happens.
