  1. That is wild, I remember last year when we were at .500 at some point late in the season our points for/against were exactly even. Is it time to consider the image or a happy face and sad face an alternate logo?
  2. Kuddos to you! After the bowl win and the Hawks loss I went to bed happy with a 1-1 day.
  3. Owner rant aside, I was born in Atlanta. Grew up and spent most of my life there. I love the players on the teams, but ultimately it is the team representing the city I was born in and love. I’ve always had teams I root for that aren’t Atlanta teams for various reasons, whether a friend likes them, they have a player I like, etc., but nothing will compare to the passion I have for Atlanta teams. We are all different, but that is my stance. I’ve always found a lot of the fans who just pick teams casually root for them, and the ones who root for their hometown are usually a little more passionate. Keyword - usually. I’ll never say somebody who spends their time on a message board for the Hawks is less passionate than an ATL born fan. Heck, I’m just happy we have Hawks fans out there lol.
  4. I’m 38, nobody in my family was a hoops fan (baseball and some football) so I brought it on myself. By that time, I was watching the Smith/Mutombo/Blaylock days. GT hoops followed much later.
  5. I’ve been trying to figure out who in the world I’m playing this week in the fantasy playoffs, it’s you based on your profile pic. Good luck! The Rams got you off to a good start.
  6. I’m used to people saying they like the Braves from TBS and then somehow liking the Lakers, Patriots, UNC basketball and Bama football. I appreciate those who somehow took on the Hawks.
  7. I’m always impressed with some of y’all who are Hawks fans that aren’t born and raised in Atlanta. I love my Hawks, Falcons, and Braves..but I was born into this love/hate relationship.
  8. @kg01 tonight is the Hawks sandwiched between GT football and GT hoops. No way I’m catching the GT hoops game, but a much younger version of me would have been stoked for this evening.
  9. Problem with the Heat is they call up some guy named Lionel Garlicbreath that nobody has ever heard of that goes 7/9 from 3 and drops 25 points on us, which makes any Trae struggles look worse.
  10. Thanks for reminding me Kent freaking Bazemore was our highest paid player for two seasons not that long ago.
  11. Unfortunately we always get a tweet saying De’Andre Hunter in his last 8 games with great stats. He then usually gets hurt, massively struggles when he comes back for 10-15 games, then has another nice run. It’s like clockwork for him. Glad to see some of these are season long numbers though
  12. What is Lloyd Pierce doing in the middle of that second one?
  13. This game worries me. Nothing would be more fitting than the Hawks giving me a loss to the Pistons on my birthday after the Falcons losing to the Panthers the day before.
  14. Same, I just assumed everyone else was watching football lol
  15. I know, a lot has to do with Trae asserting himself as the alpha and us losing most of the games since he took his bow. Different players, but we have dropped our part of this rivalry.
  16. Second home loss to the Knicks. It’s frustrating because I’d like to think we are better than them, but that comes from the playoff series. They have pretty much handled us since then.
  17. Just turned it on and saw all of Hunter’s preseason highlights
  18. Anthony "I looked like a 10 year vet as a rookie" Tolliver.
  19. I can barely see him pass it off in slow motion. Hope you had fun at the game @JayBirdHawk!
  20. Can't forget good ole Kirk "Kurt" Hinrich.
  21. Not that I’m expecting much, but is Patty Mills going to do anything for us? Mainly asking because I would rather see him than Bufkin early in the season (and I could be very wrong with that).
  22. @Jdawgflow has first dibs since they asked first, but I’ll play if it doesn’t work out for them.
  23. He was good and embraced that roll. I remember when Bob had a nickname for Childress, something to do with hustling and being in the right place at the right time. JC hated it, he wanted to be more and went overseas. Millsap was 100% about team ball and did very well for himself because of that.
