  1. Quote: Marvin: Looking bad lately. Game has become very one demensional. Hit the little 15 footer or nothing else. I always like when he runs the floor, cuts to the basket, and gets to the line. Now all he wants to do his shoot his little jumper. Very soft. Lacks confidence. Not Chris Paul What's really bothering about Marvin right now is that he never pushes the ball. On a fast break he gives the ball up to early. He looks for the first person he can find to pass the ball to bring it up the floor even if it's ZaZa. That pass he made to Horford that resulted in a turn over on the two on one is a classic example. The Hawks have been playing really stupid. They seem to have one of the worst collective b-ball IQ's in the league.
  2. c'mon man. Don't do that. You scared the sh*t out of me. They meant he won't be in Atlanta because of the five game road trip but he will be with the Hawks.
  3. I don't think Billy is going to change his mind on what type of team he needs to build. He doesn't seem like the type. It's hard to see the Hawks making it work if Phoenix has given up on the system.
  4. Quote: I don't wanna be negative, but i think the nba would add Turkoglu to the allstar team before Smith. I agree. I think either he or Ray Allen will probably get the nod.
  5. What does this say about the so called future of the NBA that Phoenix set the mold for. It's looks like their abandoning it because they no longer think it's championship caliber. Doesn't bode well for us with our undersized lineup. If Phoenix with Nash and Stoudemire couldn't pull it off, how likely are we.
  6. I'm so happy. I've been lucky enough to see all the Giants superbowl wins. My next goal is to go to one.
  7. Quote: So have Trent Dilfer and Stan Humphries. And Eli's better than them also. Quote: For a handful of games. Until the last few games he has been inconsistent. Like I said. The ONES that counted. I mean, the Giants did go 10-6. Quote: I remember a time when people thought Peyton would never win a playoff game much less the superbowl. A few years ago he lost 41-0 to some team Peyton Mannings stats at that point. The point is you said I have no leg to stand on. Your leg is stats. When the colts went 6-10 and Peyton had 26 Td's and 23 Int. you probably would have traded him. The next year when he lost in a playoff game 41-0 surely you would have traded him. I'm basing my opinion off of actually watching Eli.
  8. Quote: Eli hasn't even been a stable QB in his career yet. How many MVP's does he have? How many 25-40 TD's seasons has he had? How many times has he threw for 4,000 yards? Not counting the last game vs New England and these playoffs I guess you're right. As far as the other stuff. MVP's and such. You got me. He's not exactly Steve McNair. Quote: Let's been honest, his been solid at managing the game in the playoffs, but his numbers aren't outstanding. 4 TD's in three playoff games isn't really overpowering. Stop acting like he's played lights out and lighting teams up. Eli has alot more to do before he can being mentioned with Peyton. He's made plays when they counted. That's what he's done. That's what the best quarterbacks do. As far as Peyton. I remember a time when people thought Peyton would never win a playoff game much less the superbowl. A few years ago he lost 41-0 to some team. He may not have the numbers but he's been in as many Superbowl as Peyton has. Quote: They barely got by Detroit, lost to Philly, barely beat Carolina and got thumped by Washington. For some reason it seemed like Dallas thought they had it won after they thumped Green Bay in week 13 and never played well after that. Beat Detroit, beat Philly(same division so they play twice), beat Carolina, and beat Washington(same division). Also, I could argue the Giants weren't playing their best when they played Dallas and Greenbay so what proof is that. The reason NY has a chance tonight is because they played well and beat the three division leaders from the NFC on their way to this chance.
  9. He has had more good games than bad games in the NFL and no one is handing him anything, he's earned his turn in the Superbowl. And since Peyton is so great why don't you check his 4th year TD's and INT's. You would have wrote him off too I'm sure.
  10. Quote: What about brains? He threw 23TD's to 20INT's this year. I guess he got smarter in the playoffs. Smarter than even Tom Brady.
  11. If you've ever seen him in the no huddle just playing with his instincts I think there's a case for that argument.
  12. Giants win this one. I think Eli has more talent than his brother and based on the way the Giants played them in the first game I don't think it's unreasonable for them to win this one. Noone that has played the Patriots close the first time has had a second shot at them. I think the Patriots finally get exposed.
  13. Quote: The only downside is the Hawks haven't beat a really good team in this stretch. Which is probably a sign that the Hawks will not continue to win at this pace. That may actually be an good thing. The Hawks are not a great team but good teams beat the teams they're supposed to beat and either the great teams take them lightly or they happen to get hot that night. We've already beaten Dallas once this year so I have reservations about us beating them again. Otherwise I fell good about the Hawks chances to continue .500 ball.
  14. I felt like you feel after the Chicago game. You'll be back.
  15. Vera is a winner. I like Sasha also.
  16. I guess no one has seen this yet. http://www.nba.com/hawks/danceteam/danceteam_Main_Page.html I can't wait for Briana.
  17. The Giants have won 3 straight and are playing Atlanta on Monday...nuff said.
  18. I look forward to seeing Josh Smith more than anyone. As far as I'm concerned he is in his 4th year is out of the cradle. I expect the same thing from him as we get from JJ and JChill attitude wise. No more blowing up at the coach. He's a vet now and he needs to act like one lest he seriously run the risk of being called a cancer on this team.
  19. Quote: Adam Morrison? He had a rough first season but you can see where the hype was coming from. 6'8 wing player, a good shooter and scorer, who averaged 27 a game in college. Im going to say Durant and Oden. Well, you can see where the hype is coming for Durant and Oden as well. First freshman ever player of the year with like 28 ppg. The other a freshman helping get his team to the national title game. I chose Morrison because of his fall off from College to Rookie season. Time will tell with the other guys. I chose Telfair because he was the great New York City point guard(overrated in it's own way) and had the Adidas thing going but has been traded multiple times already.
  20. Quote: Hype really isn't about personal expectation. Hype is about Media Bolstering. For media hype it has to go to Lebron James with a very close second being given to Greg Oden. I remember analyst stating that the question wasn't if they would win a title but how long would it take and how many would they win? Now that's hype. As far as Marvin and Bogut go. I think they were a result of being the most hyped of their drafts but for comparisons sake they probably aren't that close to even Durant. I mean, look at how many national games these guys are going to get(Oden & Durant) in their first years. How about Lebron? How many did Marvin and Bogut get? We still don't get any 3 years later.
  21. I chose Adam Morrison but for me it's tied between him and Sebastian Telfair. As for the Hawks I couldn't pick any of them because I didn't expect them to do much more than they have. Overall though the biggest hype job ever despite peformance was Lebron James, but he wasn't on the list.
